I know, I know, it took me 6 episodes to figure it out. But that's because I'm too inured (what? it's a word, look it up) to genre shows. And I'm watching it on the computer. And.. and.. and... I've been distracted, dammit!
But Vamp On A Hot Tin Roof is a comedy, in a laugh-out-loud way that Six Feet Under really wasn't (I mean, I found it funny, but not so much with the laughing. However, this show? Has me bursting out with inappopriate laughter when passing by fireplaces.)
Now - ask me if I think it's intentional...
If anyone out there hasn't started watching True Blood yet, and wishes to, consider doing the following:
1. Make a 5x5 grid.
2. Label the y-axis 1-5. Label the x-axis, I dunno, B-L-O-O-D.
3. Make a list of any vampiric lore, stereotype, or element you can think of, from any genre.
4. Put the most common one dead center. Put your favorite tropes in the remaining squares. Grab 2 colors of marker/pen/paint, etc.
5. Vampire Bingo away. One color for "uses it," one color for "trashes it." Bonus points if you get Bingo with the same color.
Or, you know, look up a drinking game. But with this show, you will be drunk.
Which might just make it funnier. But not by much.
