What a difference a week makes!
Earlier this week, I was sure that the rest of the week would turn out to be really shitty. Well, I guess those were just a balancing factor, because the last couple of days have been incredible!!
I've already mentioned my promotion and resultant raise. Yesterday, Misty and I bought a nearly new Mitsubishi Galant! We ended up getting a better car that we expected for exactly what we wanted to spend. It's the first car we've bought and owned in our own name, and it's a great car. It's a lot like our previous car, but with power locks, power windows, extra power outlets (previously known as cigarette lighters), better speakers, and a smoother engine. Of course, it wouldn't take much to improve on our last car, which had reached the end of it's useful life.
My first two GameFly games arrived in the mail yesterday, too. I got Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow for the GBA and Silent Hill 3 for the PS2. I'll try them out for the week, then, I'll send 'em off and get another couple of games before my free trial runs out. I was considering cancelling the account before the 21-day trial expired, but, with my raise, I may not.
Today, I need to organize our finances, to take into account the raise, the car, the insurance, and other stuff. I had previously decided that we would not take our planned Thanksgiving trip to Louisiana and the Renaissance Festival, but that may change too.
I can see clearly now the rain is gone!
