I'm such a sentimental sap.
So today's Veteran's Day. I caught an ad (a fricking advertisement) in the newspaper this morning and got all choked up. It was for goddamn Chevrolet and it had a picture of a Marine saluting a flag and the words "Land of the Free...Because of the Brave." I swear to you, I almost cried.
Right now I'm listening again to Palestrina's Pope Marcellus Mass--specifically, the Credo ("I believe," for those of you who don't do Latin--everyone really except me 'n' rightwinger, assuming you're reading this too :) )--and it's so awesome and touching and perfect and it's making me cry again. Say what you will about religion, but when it can inspire something like this, there's gotta be some good in it.
That's really all. Just wanted to point out that I can turn into a pathetic loser in about two seconds under the right stimuli.
