Tournament
Hello everyone. I decided to due a journal entry of the paintball tournament I attended, since few furs really want to know what happened. *coughs* like wally_wolf. *smiles* also another paintball player named paranoidpanther
The tournament started around 8pm and continued til 2 am. There were six, 5 man teams, which compete in 3 games. The three games were capture the flag, annihilation (sometimes called last man draw), and speed ball (sort of like annihilation except less time limit). The organization of the tournament was based upon the tree effect. Basically two teams would compete, then which ever won would play the next. There was prize money. First place got $500 along with a box of 2000 pro paintballs for each member of the team, Second place was $100, and third place was 5 free days of paintball at the field.
Two of the six teams that were in the tournament, were professional paintball players. But I must say, even though they were professional, The team I was on had a few moments where we almost won the game with them. Sad to say, the team I was on lost to both of the professional teams. Which didnt matter to me, it was quite a fun yet challenging game. The other four teams had their challenges but we still won each game against them. The best part of it all was how desperate people would get to attract the attention of opposite team players. Sort of like a decoy as their other team member either shot at the other players or capture the flag. One game, there was a fellow on the oppsite team who through his gun from behind a bunker, stands up and begins run through the course yelling. The next game had a team member who had a relastic cardboard cut out of a mask , taped it to a stick and moved it around the outside of the bunker for the other team to shoot at. After seeing those two decoys, I decided to do one. I usually did this decoy when paintballing with my friends. I would wear a old torn up t-shirt with a huge painted on circle target, which I normally walk around, letting the other team fire at me. The other team laughed and barely could not hold their aim when I did that. I guess the other team never seen someone do such a decoy act like that. *shrugs* Our team came in third place which was pretty good. I guess I really didnt care about the prizes or anything else, all I cared about was having fun, which I did. So that was a prize in itself.
