december rants
Tomorrow marks my 1 month anniversary dealing with this awful sore throat. I've been trying my best keeping up with remedies to get rid of it; tea, salt water, medicine, honey and lemon, some vicks tasting concoction dad bought at the spanish supermarket, kumquat juice, pineapple juice, orange juice...I'm at my wit's end right now. It's getting progressively harder to speak, to swallow, to breathe. I would've gone to the doctor long ago if I had any money to do so but...I can't afford too much on what I'm making *sigh* Which sucks ass because I deal with alot of people on a daily basis at work, all varying degrees of sick because of the season and I think that's one of the factors this hasn't really gone away. All I know is that it's getting real fucking annoying. I'm dropping too much weight, I can't sleep at night and feel completely and totally drained everyday. I almost fell asleep driving home one day. NOT a good thing.
Other than that things haven't been too terrible. Dee Jay finally found a steady job that he completely deserves. It's probably the cushiest job he's ever gotten, considering his last line of work at Advance. He works 5 days, off weekends and if he gets through the 3 month mark, he gets benefits too. Which is wonderful because he's been wanting to get his eyes checked out for awhile because of some headaches he's been getting and I wouldn't mind a check up myself. I'm really really proud of him. He enjoys going to work. He likes the people he works with. It's not a strenuous job at all and he's great at what he's doing. You go babe!
On a random note, I'm hating the cold weather florida's getting. Not that I hate the cold, I rather enjoy it. In fact I would love to go to MN despite the fact that they're braving a massively insane blizzard. But FL is not supposed to be in the 50's and lower. I heard that it may even get into the teens soon. What the hell FL! NOT COOL! Especially not when I have to work outdoors because there's no way to paint with gloves on so I have to let my fingers freeze. At least MN had dry cold. FL cold sticks to your fuckin' bones man. It's almost as if it freezes you from the inside out.
Ok I'm done ranting. Laundry needs to be done...
