I love my family.

So far the past couple of days have been great. I've had a bunch of family visiting in from NY and we've done nothing but just chill and shoot the breeze. It's been a real nice break from coming home and cleaning or doing something in relation to the pig-sty of a room I'm living in at the moment. What's been real neat is that one of the first ( Read more... )

See there, you're already making a small following for yourself! Bring your business cards to work and hand them out unless your boss frowns upon that. But, either way, its worth a shot!

That's a really retarded system that DA has then. I mean hell, even Kinkos would be better than that! I wouldn't be selling through them at all. I could do better on my own XD

AND YES, go to cons! Sit in the Artist Alley for the weekend and do some artwork, take commissions and all that fun stuff. My friend makes some pretty cool artwork and sitting in the Alley for a weekend he can make $3000 just by taking commissions there and getting paid up front. The way to make that the easiest is to make a form people need to fill out describing all of what they want so you can keep it and dont lose track of what you had. I really would love to try that sometime personally, but being my last semester at MCAD I dont think that Dave would approve of me leaving for a con during my last semester.

Things are alright here! Just gearing up to release the first avatar. I've got it almost completely finished. Just a little more modeling and a few more textures and I'm good to go! I got a list of commissions I need to finish, one is from last March! >.> WOOPS :D Its something that's worth probably $50, but I only charged $20, so the motivation to finish it isn't all too great! LoL. I'm working with 3 other artists all being alumni from MCAD and we're planning on starting a business within the next year. One of those being Zed, BUT he's doing an awesome job with his ideas. Basically what we're doing is creating button, stickers, tshirts and other items to be sold at cons. And eventually what we wanna do is start up a business going to conventions all over and selling other peoples work once we become a little more well known.

My senior project had a bit of a change of plans! XD I basically scrapped the animation completely and turned the main characters of my animation into 3D models that I made in Zbrush. While working on the avatars, I completely fell in love with character modeling in Zbrush. Once I have them more complete, I'll post some pics for you and link my Flickr account!

If you wanna see how the avatars have turned out go here:

I keep these mostly offline till it releases. But, I'd love your input!

Sorry to turn this into a letter almost, but I miss talkin to you guys!! I really hope your Etsy accounts turn out well and that you can make a name for yourself. Remember, if you had a fanbase when you left, I'm sure they're all still there. You just gotta show em you're back!! Talk to you soon!
