Brotherly Bonding and Work Ranting
It feels so great to have all of my energy again. Work was very tiring for me the other day. But before I get into that…HAPPY BERMUDA DAY! Well actually, Bermuda Day was yesterday, but since I was away from live journal then, I decided to say it today, lol. Anyway, I’ll quickly talk about what happened to me at work a few days ago. To make a long story short, the Bermuda Aquarium hired a new worker that I’m in charge of. He began working here a few weeks ago, but we became acquainted on Monday. So I spent the past week teaching him how the job is done, and he done it flawlessly. He added in a few methods of his own, which I didn’t mind. But some of the things he does are a BIG no-no’s. He must like experiments, because he mixed together two kinds of fish food, thinking it would make feeding easier, but he ends up making a few animals sick. And who gets blamed? Me!
So after I calmly told him what he was doing isn’t it right, he apologized. But I think he slightly resents me, but it doesn’t really bother me. I say this because he has been doing things that would affect me pretty bad. If the phone rings, and I’m not there, he forgets to take messages, never locks up the doors around closing time, and the list goes on. In fact, just yesterday we all went to catch some Bermuda fish in the tide pools, and I managed to capture a rare blenny fish! A blenny is a fish that swims for a brief period of time, then stops and acts like a rock for a few minutes. It’s a defense mechanism. :P Anyway, my boss was so excited and she ran of to get a bucket. So Cameron, the new guy, tries to “help me” and put it in the bucket. So he moves my net out of the way, thus releasing the fish! I was so pissed. I’ll talk more about him at a later date, lol.
In other news, my parents have left my brother and me in charge of the house while they are in New Jersey. I must admit I feel all adult like, and loved…knowing my mother actually trusts us. My brother and I are using this as a bonding period. He currently has a friend over at the moment, watching some basketball game. He and I are going to watch a movie later on tonight. We decided that arguing between us has to stop. We have a peaceful family, nice home, and great jobs, what’s the fuss about? None of us are in no position to fight, so were at peace.
Or maybe I’m just happy because I gave my mother the money to buy me Advent Children, and Kingdom Hearts 2, lol. I am on level 50 in the first one, and I just handed Riku his butt. He was pretty easy, yet fun!
