What it means to me...

I just had the urdge to post three pictures of my most personal posseions. Though alot of people sahped my life, the items I grew up with also played a major role in my devlopment. So anyway, hope you like the pictures, this is my first image entry in my regular journal...enjoy :D

Ok this is a mage of my golden birth pendant, and golden Egyptian cross. When I was born, my parents gave both my brother and I gold pendants. Mine had one Jesus’ disciples on it, and I can't remember what my brother has on his, but we have been wearing all our lives. Now it's not a Bermudian tradition to receive pendants, it's our own, I guess you can say I was born blinging :P Anyway, it's most precious, and important possession...and my family say the individual on it is suppose to look out for me. I never really believed in guardian angels or things like that, but I know there is somebody or something that watches us, and keeps us safe :D Next is the golden Egyptian cross, I picked it up at the King Tutankhamen exhibit. I didn't really buy it because of souvenir reasons, but because I feel a bit connected to Egypt. I can't explain it, but I just do...and will some day visit Egypt. So that basically raps up my thoughts on the two items above.

Ok next in line is a shirt autographed by my favorite artist Rupee, and the arrow I received after passing my archery exam. Let's start with shirt. If you can't read the words, it says "To Miguel, blessed, Rupee 2005." As I said before, meeting him has forever changed my life, for the better. He showed me how lucky I am to still have my mother, and taught me to always respect her, along with the rest of my family. The fact that we actually talked was even greater, I still wonder if that was a dream, but it wasn't. When you meat your idol, it will change you...hopefully for the better. As for the arrow, that is the one I used in my exam. I feel the arrow represents my success in a sport! That's a big accomplisment for me, I've never really enjoyed a sport before, well besides swimming.

Finally is this coconut pirate. To be honest, when I was a little boy, this thing use to scare the crap out me! Think about it, that hideous smile, combined with my childish imagination, I use to think the pirate was after me lol. My brother would chase me with it, and I would run through the screen door, and hide in the back yard. But of course, as I got older, I grew out of the fear of the pirate. When I would have a bad day, I would always look at it, and the big grin would make me laugh. Every time I see it, the memories of me being afraid of it would just put a smile on my face. So I suppose this little toy helped bring out a bit of the bravery of me as I grew...but come on, this thing looks creepy lol.
