GENESIS CHRONICLE
Remains of mass slaughter discovered in Abyss
After weeks of searching, the police have finally discovered the bodies of the children involved in the Schoolground Abductions case.
Though investigation of the Schoolground Abductions case had been going poorly, an anonymous call today led to the discovery of the warehouse in Abyss, where the children had been kept.
Although the police have refused to release details on the situation, witnesses to the investigation describe what seems to be a gruesome sight. The bodies of approximately 40 children were found in various states of decay.
Of these, 17 were revealed to have been children missing from Terra. Six were invovled in the Schoolground Abductions, while the remaining 11 were missing from as far back as eight months ago. The remaining children have yet to be identified.
Though the children showed signs of starvation and poor care, the causes of death were not malnutrition. Many bodies were cleaned of flesh, suggesting that the children may have been forced to cannibalize each other in order to survive.
"It's terrible," an unnamed officer stated. "It's sick, it's the sickest thing I've ever seen in all my years working. These kids were made to do this to each other."
Evidence at the site suggest that there may have been survivors, but police have refused to elaborate on the possibility of any children who escaped or were taken from this travesty.
The warehouse is currently closed for inspection, and police state that the perpetrator of this inhumane act will be caught and punished accordingly.
