Disclaimer: Nope... I don't own them and even half of the plot, but there will be some twist from me ♥
Beta:
piperr0919 thank you for checking this one for me ♥
A/N: The plot is actually inspired by Fiona Walker's 'Kiss Chase' and jumbled with a few mangas that I've read recently. But yeah, there will be changes and some twists from me :D And yes, I've said that this is going to be a one shot but I've realised that it turns out to be too long. So multi-chapter it is (^^;)
“Kazu-chan did you hurt yourself last night?”
Kame immediately clasped at the patch on his neck, blushing slightly, remembering why he had the patch on. That darn brat had left a mark on his neck and truthfully, it was his first time getting something what people called ‘love bites’.
He glanced down to see his daughter giving him a worried look. Kame smiled in assurance as his grip on his daughter’s hand tightened.
“It’s just a tiny scratch. A stray cat got mad at me and gave me a scratch.”
“Who are you calling a stray cat?”
Kame could feel his heart stop at the familiar husky voice.
“Uncle AJ!”
Before he could say anything, his daughter flung herself towards the man in front of him and he could only stare in horror as his daughter wrapped her arms around the other’s neck.
“What are you doing here?” Kame tried to sound as friendly as possible.
“Sending Yuta off,” Kame watched the man place Ai back on her feet to stand beside a boy. A boy he knew very well, the one that had announced to him that he wanted to take his daughter’s hand in marriage, Yamashita’s nephew Yuta, who was now living with the man. Now he knew the connection.
Kame sighed inwardly. Kids nowadays were so advanced that he would always feel restless every time Ai went to daycare. But he should worry about that later; right now he should be worrying about the man in front of him.
“And why are you the one sending him off? Where’s Yamashita-san?”
“Pi had to go off early to work today,” Akanishi replied curtly, somehow looking very much irritated.
“Oh…” Kame tore his gaze away from the other and kneeled down to his daughter, who was now standing hand in hand with the little boy beside him.
“Play nice okay?” He gave Ai a gentle kiss on the cheek then ruffled Yuta’s hair affectionately. Though he sometimes worried about the little boy’s attraction to his daughter, he couldn’t stop himself from liking the boy.
And as he waved his daughter and Yuta goodbye, he realized that Akanishi was still standing beside him. Deciding to just ignore the other’s presence, he walked away without even sparing a glance.
“Pi’s right. You are definitely the heart throb of the daycare though you barely look like one in that frumpy outfit.”
Kame continued walking, ignoring the other and hoping all the while that Akanishi would get bored and finally leave him in peace.
“You realize that the mothers are ogling at you don’t you?”
Kame sighed softly in frustration, realizing that the other was persistent in following him. He rolled his eyes at Akanishi’s comment as he walked into a grocery market, and before he could take the last basket from the basket stack at the corner, Akanishi snatched it first.
He turned around to finally look at the other thoroughly and somehow he regretted it. Akanishi Jin was breathtakingly gorgeous. Though he was sure that he didn’t like men sexually, he couldn’t deny the fact that the man in front of him was very attractive.
Feeling a little bit flustered, he looked away and continued to walk down the aisle, trying to push the image of the other, as well as what they had done last night, out of his head by thinking of what to cook for dinner. That’s it, he’s going to make hamburger. Ai’s favorite-
“Are you going to ignore me?”
“Are you that free? Don’t you have work for today?” Kame asked back, ignoring the question as he made his way towards the cold storage section.
“I don’t like it when people talk to me without looking at my face. It’s rude.”
Kame gripped tightly at the packet of chicken fillet in his hand, and turned his face towards the other. Indeed Akanishi Jin looked very much pissed with his attitude.
“I didn’t ask you to follow me,” Kame stated reaching out to take the basket in the taller man’s grip but before he knew it, the other wrapped his other hand tightly around his wrist, and pulled him towards a secluded corner, causing the basket and the packet of chicken fillet to fall on the floor with a loud crash.
Nearby, a middle-aged housewife eyed them suspiciously over her glasses.
“Stop it,” he hissed loudly, trying to peel of the persistent hand of a said persistent man that had moved from his wrist to his waist.
“Despite the old man frumpy-smelly look, you smell nice,” Akanishi started to nuzzle his face against his neck and realizing that the other’s hold on him had loosened, Kame pulled away but the other man was fast in his reflex, for Akanishi had again trapped his wrist with his hand in a firm grip.
“I really don’t want to hit you,” Kame spat in a harsh whisper, eyes wandering around, and after realizing that they were the only one there he let out a soft sigh of relief.
“Kame-chan?” Kame stilled at the familiar voice. He bit his lower lip in frustration. He didn’t know why he had turned out to be this unlucky lately.
“Is there a problem?”
Kame immediately turned towards the voice. Koki, another friend of his, the son of the market’s owner gave the hand on his wrist a questioning gaze.
“Is this guy bothering you Kame-chan?” Koki stepped closer to where they stood and he knew that he should have said yes, that the man in front of him was indeed bothering him but he surprised himself when he shook his head saying, “Its fine Koki, we’re just fighting about pasta sauce.”
“Are you sure?” Koki asked again.
“Yeah,” Kame smiled in assurance.
“Really, are you?”
“He said he’s sure, don’t you understand Japanese baldy?” Akanishi snapped loudly.
“Hey! You-“
“He’s just being a brat because I told him not to buy his favorite pasta sauce, don’t take it to heart okay?” Kame gave Koki an apologetic smile and after muttering something under his breath, Koki finally left the aisle.
Then he turned his attention to Akanishi. “Truthfully, what is it that you want from me?”
The other didn’t say anything, but he didn’t even loosen his tight grasp around his wrist that it was starting to hurt now.
“You want to take me somewhere and fuck me? That’s it?” Kame asked again, wrestling his hand from the other.
A smirk made its way to Akanishi’s handsome face and what Yumi had told him before resounded in his head.
That’s the way he is. He will push you to your limits till you succumbed down to his feet. He likes it the best when his prey turns submissive and begging. And when you do he smashes you down to tiny little pieces. That’s the Akanishi Jin that I know.
“But sorry, I don’t let anyone fuck me,” he finally managed to snatch his hand away then leaned close, whispering, “Do you catch my drift?”
He watched the smirk on Akanishi’s face grow wider, “You are one tough cookie aren’t you? I like that.”
“Too bad that I don’t like you,” Kame replied back, eyes never leaving the other’s face.
Akanishi took a deep breath, stepping closer to him and that darn smirk was still plastered on the other’s face that he really had to fight the urge to hit it. The other man really knew how to mess with other people’s minds but Kame wouldn’t let that happen to him. He would mess with Akanishi’s head till the other couldn’t take it anymore.
“We’ll see,” the taller man whispered against his ear, “I will make you mine and you won’t even have something witty to say back to me.” And with that he took a pen from his pocket, took his hand and started to write something on his palm.
“Call me,” Akanishi said simply, and walked away leaving him.
Kame narrowed his eyes. What an obnoxious confident brat. Does he really think that I will call him? He looked down at his palm. His brows furrowed at what the other had written on it.
You’ll definitely call me.
Kame sighed loudly, emotionally tired from what had happened earlier. It’s been long since anyone had made him feel like that. He was walking out from the market, completely forgetting his intention to go to the market in the first place, when a girl ran up to him.
“Sir!” the panting girl thrust a plastic bag in front of him, “Your chicken fillet.”
Kame looked at the girl strangely, finally realizing that he had forgotten to buy one. But, if he didn’t buy it why was the girl saying that he did?
“I’m sorry… I don’t think…”
“The guy you were with earlier paid for it.”
Akanishi? Kame blinked in confusion but nevertheless he took the plastic bag from the girl’s hand, murmuring a soft thank you.
He looked into the bag and noticed a paper with something written on it other than the packet of chicken fillet.
Call me. You don’t want to be indebted to me right? Akanishi xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
Kame scoffed at the note and was about to throw it away when the girl in front of him cleared her throat. He glanced up, raising a questioning brow at the said girl.
“Yes?”
“Uh…” The girl fidgeted in her heels, “I know that it is not my problem and it might sound strange hearing it from me but, can you forgive your boyfriend?”
Eh? Kame groaned, now what did that brat say to this girl.
The girl laughed nervously. “It is okay. I am an open-minded person.”
“I don’t think…” Kame started but the girl beat him to it by talking first.
“He told me that you make the best hamburgers in the world.”
Kame was indeed speechless by the statement and he could only watch the girl excuse herself and return back into the market.
He sighed softly. He really didn’t understand this one man named Akanishi Jin and then he realized that he didn’t understand his own feelings too. Akanishi riled him up, but there were those tiny little things that the other did that made his heart soften. Before, it was the way Akanishi had looked at him at the club and now this?
Kame looked down at the note again. He would call and meet the guy again but that would be their last encounter. He’s going to make sure that it would be their last encounter.
“What?” Yumi looked at him in shock. “You’re not going to continue this?”
With that, Ai groaned. “Auntie Yumi… you are too loud.”
“Sorry baby,” Yumi patted his daughter’s head then turned again to him, brows creasing in a deep frown.
“Why?”
“I don’t think I can take him mentally. He’s messing with my head and to add up I don’t even like men in the first place,” Kame replied back then added, “I don’t think I can do this revenge thing. I just want to live happily with Ai.”
Yumi groaned, “But we are already this close to getting him. He did give you that hickey and…”
“Kazu-chan, what is a hickey?” Ai looked at the both of them curiously and Kame gasped in horror, covering his daughter’s ears.
“Yumi, I’m not…. gay. I’m not even bisexual,” Kame pressed on the words in a whisper.
The woman in front of him clicked her tongue in annoyance. “You’re no fun.”
Kame looked at Yumi in disbelief, “You want to do this revenge out of fun? This is about other people’s lives here. We don’t mess people’s lives out of fun.”
“He messed with my life,” Yumi stated and Kame felt bad by what he had said.
He bit his lower lip thoughtfully, “I’m sorry Yumi. But I still can’t do it.”
“It’s okay,” Yumi replied softly, looking very much down but then her expression suddenly brightened that he was taken aback by it. “But I dare to say, he won’t let you go that easily.”
Yumi popped a piece of hamburger into her mouth. “That hickey he gave you meant that he has already marked you as his. Ah… you really do make the best hamburger.”
He really didn’t want to believe what Yumi had said. But somehow he didn’t feel so good about it. He turned to look at a picture of his late wife on the mantelpiece.
What should I do Kyoko-chan? I am already in a deep mess.
Somewhere in the city @ Akanishi - Yamashita residence
“Uncle Jin, staring at the phone won’t make it ring you know,” Yuta looked at him knowingly and he really hated that look Yuta sported. It was as if a younger looking Pi was taunting him.
Jin sighed loudly. “Okay, what is it that you want?” he glanced at the clock on the wall. Pi was late and he was going crazily restless now.
Why doesn’t the damn phone ring?
“Uncle Jin, can you take me to Ai-chan’s house tomorrow? We have a play date at the park.”
Eh? “Play date?” Jin repeated.
“Yeah, and at the same time you could have a play date with Ai-chan’s papa too!”
Jin stared at the boy in front of him. Sometimes he really wondered about Yuta’s way of thinking. But a play date with that pretty papa, he wouldn’t miss it for the world.
