Miracle Day Is Upon Us
Torchwood is back! And my God is it back with a vengence!!!! Take notes, THIS IS HOW IT'S DONE!!!!!! My life just got that more awesome, if that were possible.
My impressions:
I was hooked from the jump. Excellent setup, loving the new characters.
Wonderful to see Barrowman and the rest of the crew back in action.
Gwen continues to grow on me. She was not always my favorite character (the actress is brilliant however) but she has stepped up over the years. And I look forward to seeing where her character goes this season.
Officer Andy has gotten a lot cuter.
I've seen Bill Pullman do crazy (Igby Goes Down immediately comes to mind) but I don't think I've ever seen him play evil. Oh he does and with a sick Southern accent.
But I gotta say the actor I'm most proud of right now is my man Mekhi Pfifer. I've watched him movies for many years and I've seen him evolve into this powerful leading man. His performance in his scenes with Barrowman proved as much. He owned it. I'm really proud of the fact that I can watch an incredible show which happens to feature black and gay men as the leads.
Can't wait to see what happens next.
