On The Down Low This Pride
So today is Pride in my local town. As previously stated, my attitude on Pride is pretty much this

For reasons summed up here, here, here and here. Suffice to say I'll be avoiding the freak show festivities and will be running errands doing promo work for Hollowstone and maybe catching a movie later.
But since we're on the subject of Pride and all things GAY, I do feel the need to address some idiocy, I've happened upon throughout the last week. And the fact that I'm having to explain this shit just proves my point in itself.

Dear White Peepul, and for that matter many of you ignorant shiftless Negroes. The down low IS NOT a black cultural phenomenon. That shit is universal and this just in WHITE FOLKS ARE ON THE DOWN LOW JUST AS MUCH, IF NOT MORESO.
Do you have any fucking idea how many times a married straight white guy has thrown me shade because I would not fuck around with him on the side? Do you have any idea how pissed off they were that I didn't fawn over getting attention by a white guy that I would be so desperate enough to be their dirty little secret or their ethnic jumpoff?
And don't even get me started on many gay white men who pull their own down low with men of color. Such as the racist fetishists who expect all Black and Latino men to be thugs, bangers or whatever their ethnic rape fantasy (because no self-respecting gay white men would ever have congress with a nigger, that's worse than bestiality), but would sooner slit their wrists than to be seen in public with one of us, let alone date us or be in an actual relationship.
But that's right, the down low is exclusively a black phenomenon because blacks are soooo homophobic. Not like those accepting white people.
And for more proof about this racist double standard, look no further than Brokeback Mountain. As much as I enjoyed and respected the film (far more than I ever thought I would), let's keep it real here. While most moviegoers praised that movie for being an epic tragic love story that transcended convention, had Ennis Del Mar and Jack Twist been Negroes, that film would've been entitled: The Down Low: Another Reason Why Good Quality (Straight) Black Men Are SOOOOOOO Hard To Find. Hell, had that film featured two men of color, it would've been ripped to shreds by white folks gay and straight alike.

And since I'm already using my katana to disembowel gay white unicorns, I'm gonna also need society to stop trying to qualify the problems with being in a relationship with men of color. I've been coming across more of this bullshit yet again. I've heard too many discussions of fail as of late and the Red Lantern rage is hitting critical mass.
I don't know who in the blue hell tried to pimp the memo that a white man automatically = default good man, but when I find out who's responsible, they're getting jack-slapped with the restraining order papers that I had to file against one of my last exes, Edward Cullen's gay cousin, Sparkly Psycho McWhitey.
Don't get it twisted. This isn't me saying all white men are horrible. Hell, I think the record will reflect (as will this blog) that I have an immense appreciation for fine ass white boys.
afro_dyte constantly gives me hell over my weakness for blonds.
boston_pobble and I have had many upon many discussions on the sexy goodness of Tim DeKay and John Barrowman.
Ankhesen and I have had too many discussions as of late on the sexy that is Tom Felton as well as Tahmoh Penikett who has a pass to tap it 24/7 365.
witchsistah and I have had long discussions on the white men we're attracted to.
Oh yes Alan Ritchson and the Brothers Clippinger, I'm eyeing the lot of you.
Are there good white men in the world? Of course there are. That goes without saying. I've had the honor of having more than a few in my life. But those white men are good because they're good men, not because they're white. Same goes for men of color. No group is magically infallible. But see too many people want to believe otherwise and then they let themselves get tricked and before they know it, they find themselves in a situation. Just saying.
And in the 21st century, I'm still having to explain this shit?
