When You've Been On Livejournal For Far Too Long
You know you've been on Livejournal (and by extension the interwebs) for far too long when a friend links to a thread where epic drama is going down and your first reaction is to grab the popcorn.
No, I don't mean that as a euphemism. And no, I'm not using hyperbole. I mean literally grab the popcorn.
As in literally walk into the kitchen, grab a bag of microwave popcorn from the pantry, throw it in the microwave and set it for 2:20. Let it pop, grab a soft drink, turn off the television, get comfy in front of the laptop because you know the wank is gonna be deliciously entertaining.
As exhibited here in this post which has gone viral in a span of a few days.
Shorthand: A classic 101 on how writers SHOULD NOT conduct themselves after receiving an unflattering review of their work.
Why yes I do have a severe case of schadenfreude.
Now several commenters have stated this is indicative of self-published authors.
