The scent of blood not her own... even without him showing it to her, the scent cut through the air like a knife through butter. Her nostrils flared and her body tensed against the sheets of the bed, fingers flexing while she ddin't have the strength to lift her arms. Seras' question was forgotten as her body screamed for it, fighting the rags of whatever human conscience survived the trauma of the past day.

He made it sound so simple, and it was, wasn't it? One, or the other. Life or death. And she did want to live, she did. Death crept up on her in the vision of two graves, nothingness, no more warm arms and caring voices. Blood to survive...

Could she pick her own life over that of others? Dizzily she remembered what she had told the Chief, but this desire was so deliciously selfish and despite what she was now, human. She didn't want to die, those words she'd said to him down in the Hatter's circus... She didn't want to... She had to live.

Seras clenched her teeth as her vision flickered, her teeth elongated and her jaws opened, tonge slipping out, questing for the drops that fell from his arm in the base need for survival.

There was no need for verbal consent; she'd made her decision. He accommodatingly lifted her head to aid her in her efforts, placing his bloodied wrist against her mouth and gently squeezing the skin to aid the flow. Her thirst had to be ravenous after so long; he was all too familiar with such an unsettling sensation after being under lock and key for over thirty years himself.

Without any further thought her jaws clamped about his wrist like a vice, her mind shutting down pleasantly as she worked her tongue and sucked hungrily, pulling mouthful after mouthful of blood down. It was nothing like when she'd lapped at the old blood on the floor of that warehouse, this was fresh and nothing short of euphoric. Even as she wondered why the answer seemed to come to her.

Whoever he was, he was old, so much older than her, whoever he was and even then the name seemed to come to her, Alucard... Master. Strong and so is blood was more potent than any humans could ever be, mixed with the blood of all those he had drunk from before.

But with each pull of blood Seas could feel something in herself changing too, strength was flowing back into her limbs, and soon she had a hand clamped about his arm to hold it to her. The wound on her chest was knitting back together, regenerating until was whole again.

He watched appreciatively as she sucked the blood vigorously from dead veins. So, it seemed she was willing to embrace her monstrous nature when the chips were down. A creature like her was rare; few and far between did a true nosferatu come about who shirked their nature and clung to their humanity.

He watched her carnal strength returning, indulging her and permitting her to grasp his arm as her wounds began to slowly regenerate. "Good girl," he praised, though whether he was mocking her or not was left to interpretation.

It didn't matter to her what his tone implicated then anyway, she was focused on what she was doing. She carried on drinking until her grip was almost like steel on his arm and her mind cleared of its weakened haze and with it, some of her concious self started to flow back, alongside the part of her that had resisted this in the first place.

Her eyes widened for a moment and after a final swallow she pulled away, unlocking her fingers and looking up into his face wide-eyed. Seras could feel the effect of his blood thrumming through her, it felt incredible, wonderful... it pushed back against the arguements her mind wanted to throw up against the new dawning reality that this was necessary. And whats more, she'd enjoyed it.

Seras swallowed, licking her lips as if debating whether to say something... then she remembered something else. "Ah!" Hurriedly she grabbed at the sheets on the bed and pulled them up to her chest.

Alucard watched her pull the sheets over herself in embarrassment; he merely chuckled low and throaty in response, withdrawing his arm. The flesh had already begun to knit itself together. "Feel better, Police Girl?" He asked, watching the color already returning to her cheeks. She was remarkably child-like for a nosferatu... and vastly different than his normal choices to turn. However...

There was something about her he couldn't deny.

"Ah... better, thank you..." She worried her lip for a moment before speaking again, "... Master?" trying the word out, it shouldn't sound as right as it did to call someone by that title. Seras hugged the sheets closer, trying not to wince as she jarred her chest with the action. She wasn't sure what to say now. "Um... you're the one who, who made me like this? Aren't you?"

Her hesitance was what some might find endearing. To Alucard, it was merely amusing. "I am," he replied. "You feel it, don't you?" Doubtless she did. When he'd first laid eyes on her, he'd known, felt that perplexing pull that spoke to him of her nature - and his attachment to her. Very strange, that. So very unlike him.

Seras nodded slowly, "I do." Somehow she knew, his familiarity and the bond she felt to him, it made it so obvious and clear. But it wasn't even that that confused her most, a moments pause and she spoke again. "I can't remember it, you... how it happened." He must though, if he'd done it he should remember how and why it had come about.

The familiar grin spread out over his lips as he replied, "Something we have in common." Yet, it didn't seem to bother him. Quite the opposite; he seemed quite amused by the statement.

He, too, had no memory of the event. As far as he remembered, he hadn't turned a mortal in over a century. Many Masters had risen and fallen from the time of his last underling. Her shock was his. Even so...

"It would seem the wool has been drawn over our eyes, Police Girl."

"Oh..." Well there went that shred of hope.

Still, Seras frowned, unable to see how someone could erase the memories of them both so thoroughly, but then in this city there were a lot of unexplained mysteries. Most people tried to turn their heads away from the possibility of them though. She didn't try to ask if he knew how, only, "Do you know who could have done it, master?"

Her eyes flicked around, was this his home then? It looked upperclass...

"In this city, anything is possible," he said, rising to his feet and slowly unrolling his sleeves. "A more prudent question would be why."

She hadn't been of his kin for long, of that he was absolutely certain, which meant he had to have turned her rather recently. The obvious choices of memory alteration would be Johan... but it wasn't his style. Johan had no motivation to deprive him of something he would doubtlessly only find interesting.

"Right." she nodded, watching him as he moved, wondering what he was thinking. The wounds where she had drunk from his arm where already gone. He didn't even look that bothered about the fact he couldn't remember, then again, she ahdn't seen him look anything but amused at everything that had happened. "Is this you house?"

Alucard tilted his head slightly upward, almost as though he was listening to something, before answering. "It belongs to my Master," he said, before gesturing to the black, hulking coffin in the corner of the room. Prose from the Ripley Scroll was scrawled upon it's top. "This is the only possession a vampire needs."

Seras' eyes shifted to the coffin, "Your Master?" She questioned before scanning its top, her eyes alighting on the text carved into its top. Immediately her eyes widened and her mouth dropped open, "I... I know that script!! I saw it!" The blonde looked at Alucard, "Master, when everyone froze, I saw that coffin, with those words on it."

"Oho?"

Perhaps whatever was at the source of their forgotten memories wasn't as thorough as was necessary. The anomoly of time stopping had been momentarily interesting, but Alucard had chalked it up to another abnormality among many in the city of NeoGenesis. However...

"Is that so? Then, maybe there are other things to be remembered, as well."
