"The funny man." Once more, he parroted what the other said as he tried to remember who was being spoken about. He looked side-to-side before finally remembering who that was. The one that is considered a 'bad guy' in Elysium and Terra. "Oh, that man. I am uncertain I am upset about that. He was someone that had you used as a distraction before."
"Auntie, who is Auntie? I did not know that you had any relatives." Still, if Schrodinger was upset about something like that, Nataku wondered if there was anything that he could do. His best friend had done something kind for him. It seemed like it was natural that he should do something in return. "Is there anything that I can do to assist you?"
"Correct." He looked up at the boy from the floor, not overall bothered by doing so. However, he did reach out to right the boots on the floor as he felt that that needed to be done. Perhaps, something to do. Or perhaps, he felt things should have some order when in this estate. He could not say. "That would be fun. There is so many places that one could hide here. I wonder if I should ask Johan if that is acceptable for us to do so. This is not my house, after all. I would not want you to be in trouble for visiting."

One brow gently rose as the Germanic boy pursed his lips, “Enh? He didn’t use me as a distraction…Well he didn’t ask me to be one Ich volunteered…it vas zomezink to do…”.
“Ich don’t have any relatives, Schrödinger ist alone-She ist just zomevon ich call Auntie- cause she’s very sweet-und she worried about me und calls me kitten- Haha~” Really the feline-esque boy didn’t expect anything in return for having some how helped Nataku out of a cramped office and into more lavish accommodations. After all Schrödinger didn’t really want anything besides being entertained by chaos around him. He was a Cheshire Cat so to speak and he would simply watch the many Alices of this world die off around him as time went on.
Really he knew his time with Nataku wouldn’t be forever- sooner or later he too would more than likely join the dust that lined the streets of Abyss- and once again Schrödinger would be on his own without a best friend or simply a ‘friend’ to call his own. It would be the way of his unending life.
“Trouble? Me? Ich never get in trouble und even if Ich get caught~ it’s never for long-how many times have Ich told you zat now Nata-mousy~?” He scolded verbally however it wasn’t a real scolding he was only teasing, lifting away one hand to wag a clothed finger pad at the other’s face he could almost reach from his perch on the bed.

His hands set down on his knees as be pushed himself up to a standing position. The thought occurred to him that since he had a guest, he should try to get dressed. But he was also aware that that would not be particularly polite to Schrödinger if he changed his clothes in front of him. His head tilted to the side as he faltered between both thoughts before deciding that it would be best to just return to where he was seated. (A moment of wondering if the oven was on before realizing that he was a squirrel and did not need to worry about such.)
He smiled easily which he found he did more often around his best friend than others. But he considered that to be normal. It was a natural reaction, after all. Still, this made him remind himself that he did not want emotions and displaying such was going against such wants. Yet, he was unable to cease doing so and decided that he would contemplate this at a later date. "I see. Then, she is a friend to you as well. Is there nothing that we could do to help her?"
"That is difficult to say. It normally does not take me so long to accept truths, but I still do not--" Nataku looked up at the ceiling, taking an inappropriate pause in what he was saying to find the right word. "--like the idea of temporary trouble." Another pause. "This is better than an empty warehouse. You may sleep here if you like."
An awkward transition to one of his concerns for his friend, but he still felt it needed to be offered. Even if it was not his home, and this did bother him quite a bit that he was offering something that perhaps was not in his right to offer, he still did not wish his ever-helpful friend to sleep somewhere unsafe.

Him, stay here to sleep? Well it was a nice place or so he could guess from the single room he was in and with the knowledge this had to be the cremdelacrem of Elysian- he had never been here before on one of his trespassing whims. Contemplating it in his mind as the blood rushed to his skull from his position, a single black furred ear gave a slight turn to one side as the rare need for confirmation arose.
“You-sure Natamousy?”
The prospect took most of his attention not even focusing on the fact Nataku held a dislike for Joker ever since he had learned of Schrödinger’s death through that rescue mission, one that Schrödinger had brought upon himself no less. After all Schrödinger knew he couldn’t die so easily, little did he know of the one person in this new place that actually could-keep him dead should the little cat-eared nuisance’s blood be absorbed.

At the mention of the 'funny man,' Nataku paused in what he was going to say. It was somewhat different from the awkward pauses that he normally took, but still relatively hard to tell apart from his occasional disjointed manner of speaking. Regardless if Schrödinger was not upset about being injured or dying, he felt that it was wrong of the man to allow his best friend to have volunteered in the first place. He realized that his logic did not make much sense and that bothered him more than his sudden rush of anger. Unlike the Elysium and Terra people, he did not consider the Joker a 'bad man' because he killed people, but only because he inconvenienced Schrödinger. Glaring at the opposing wall for a few moments, he finally responded. "Understood." A curt tone that he never took with the cat before, but it was not meant for him, anyway.
He did not fidget much when he sat. It might have been because he simply did not know how to do so or if he was "afraid" to do so. Like he might touch or bother something in his environment that he should not. This left him rather stiff in his posture and looking mildly uncomfortable in doing so. Yet, he did not complain nor give any indication that he was planning on doing so. "I am certain. I would rather that you sleep here than in a warehouse." This had been the same reasons that he asked the cat to stay with the person in the hat and him, after all.

Skull still upside down, those deep sanguine orbs kept fixated on the other living paradoxes countenance, a dim smile sparked over his lips and slowly began to grow more in a hooked upside down slice of his usual Cheshire grin. He really didn’t know how to take the dislike Nataku seemed to harbor for the Joker-Schrödinger followed that man around to play in his bloody wake, fed only by scraps of amusement for such chaos that always did draw cheshires in. Though…Nataku obviously held a dislike, because…he-Immortal little brat of Neo Genesis was harmed?
It was a curious topic and one that didn’t sit at rest in that buzzing mind of half-thoughts. One thing he knew for certain though, the odd knowledge of Nataku having a dislike to someone who had perhaps ‘burdened’ him-did make a amusing little feeling of felicity well up inside his rib cage. Body shifted, and he rolled to right himself onto his stomach against the wrinkled sheets, black socked feet swaying in the dark air as his hands held his face up. “Okay- I’ll stay Nata-mousy~ Only because you asked zough. - ahn Ich not sleeping on za floor either” he added that last bit as a foot note, he was a cat after all and cats deserved to sleep in comfortable arrangements. The bed would be his place.

Naturally, he smiled when he heard that Schrödinger would stay for the night. Holding his hand out to the bed, he offered it without hesitation. "You may have the bed. I have slept enough for today." This was somewhat honest. He felt as though he slept enough. Without further ado, he stood up -- taking a moment to hold his head as suddenly standing had made him dizzy -- and walked to the dresser. Digging through the various bits of clothing in it, he took out a large shirt before holding it out for Schrödinger. He wondered if it was acceptable as pajamas and asked.
He also wondered if he should bring up the fact that he felt that he found his mouse. Those feelings that he had when he was with his parents. However, it seemed as though he had only found his father, but that was enough. The way that he felt around the Senator made it seem like he did not need his mother present. At least, at this point and time. "We spoke of mice before. Is it natural to find yours so soon?"
Another thought came to him which he felt like adding onto what he was saying. It was like he was afraid that he would not see Schrödinger in the morning or would forget what it was that he wanted to say. This may have all been prompted that he had not seen his friend in quite some time and there was an energy -- muted as it was coming from Nataku -- that he had upon being able to speak with Schrödinger for so long. "What are you doing for Halloween?"
