It all happened in a matter of seconds, but she registered every movement as if it was in slow-motion.

The rush of air to her sensitive ears made her look up, blue eyes widening almost comically at the dark figure falling through the air, turning to trace its path before it hit her partner. Then she simply stared as something sharp and glinting crossed his neck and then - slice - there it was, infiltrating the air, spilling across the ground. Hitting the fabric of her uniform and soaking in, it made her feel dizzy.

But not in a sickening way, Seras stumbled back from a scent and sight that was overwhelmingly delicious, making her heart pound with the need for it. Blood. Not the first time she'd felt it - the other week an officer had come in with a cut on his arm and she'd been able to do nothing but stare at it - but the first time it had been so... overpowering.

Quickly the blonde shook her head, reaching into the the holster and pulling out her gun, pointing it at the black cloaked figure as steadily as she could. Something seemed familiar about that voice... "Hands in the air! You're under arrest for the murder of a police officer!"

Her fingers almost fumbled on the trigger as her mind caught up to what they'd said, they knew her name. How?! Was this, her mind quickly leapt to the possibility, te person who'd been spying on her?

Larxene wasn't concerned with the gun. In the bluntest of terms, it was a pea shooter. A standard-issue .38 revolver, a six-shooter. Unless Seras went for the face, the bullets would be largely stopped by her own personal armor. Besides, it wasn't like Seras was going to shoot her any time soon. Just as she had planned and hoped for, Seras seemed to have swallowed the bait. Though the fact that she was as badly shaken as she was could just as likely have been the product of the fact that it was the first few hours of her first night shift and she was already staring death in the eyes, more-or-less literally. Not that it mattered though; as long as Larxene wasn't getting her face pumped full of lead, she was a "happy" Nobody.

Since this track was actually working, she went on with it. Taking a step towards Seras and off from the body of her fallen comrade, she spoke to her again (while conveniently ignoring everything Seras was shouting at her). "Breaking my toys back there just wasn't a very smart thing to do. I didn't want this meeting to take place so soon, but you and i have a lot to talk about now." She stated before placing her hand against the barrel of Seras' gun. She put it in a firm grip, "Don't be dumb for a second time today - this isn't the time for you to play the hero." She added, slowly forcing the gun to point downwards against the ground.

She was trying to disarm Seras here, hoping that the policewoman would, again, fall for her words. Being hard-wired to be literally incapable of feeling fear helped here, too, seeing as Seras could just as well fire off a few rounds into Larxene's legs (or worse, stomach) well before she had gotten the gun away from her general direction. It wasn't exactly the most sophisticated or effectove method of non-violent (well, technically here...) disarmament, just like this whole spectacle as a whole had been largely unplanned and unprepared for. But in her defense, doing things without causing ridiculous levels of pain to someone else just wasn't her field of profession, so to speak.

Not shaken for the reasons Larxene probably expected though, for the most part. Yes, the death of her colleague had scared her, she hadn't seen real death in front of her for many years, not since... but no, she had to focus right now, she had a dangerous felon in front of her. One who had just killed an officer without a care, she had to stop them, that was her duty as a police officer.

Breath Seras, breath. The blonde gritted her teeth and forced her arms to stop shaking, forced herself to ignore the blood still hot on the ground and the urge to lap it up. "You... you're the one who's been spying on me." her voice hitched for just a moment as another feeling started to grow alongside the shock and hunger. Her grip became firmer as she stared down the barrel at the criminal, "Stay back." she ordered, as the cloaked figure came closer. "I'm warning you."

Her eyes widened as the a hand reached out and started to push down on the gun, Seras resisted, trying to keep it pointed level. Right now she had three choices, allow her opponent to push the gun down (never), step back and keep distance between them or to fire off a warning shot. The latter seemed best, there were plenty of none fatal areas to put a bullet into. Her eyes darted down, just a half of a seconds judgement in where to fire and her finger squeezed the trigger, aiming to put a bullet into her left leg.

Well, shit. It wasn't unusual for Larxene to be overconfident about her own abilities and underestimate her foes have, but actually having to pay for it with her own blood was something different altogether. It hurt. And when she said that she wasn't concerned for the gun before, she'd quietly regret it now. The bullet had cut through the fabric of her cloak and cloth, the bullet's trail cutting through the skin on her left leg. It only graced it, though. Luckily for her it hadn't entered her leg and caused enough damage to seriously impair her, but it still stung like hell and would do so for hours to come. Blood was already trailing down from her injured leg and into her boots, and even if she could shrug this off another bullet could prove harder for her body to handle. She'd have to act fast.

This is probably where Seras would really see that Larxene wasn't an ordinary human. Whereas your average thug would've been knocked off his or her feet from a wound like that, getting shot in the leg like that succeeded in little more than putting the girl in an extremely foul mood. When subliminal bullshit doesn't work, brute force would have to suffice. She snarled at Seras and squeezed the still smoking barrel of the gun with all her strength, trying to literally force the gun out of her hands while the other hand sent a hook against her face with a ridiculous force for someone her size, hoping that the punch would "seal the deal" before Seras could shoot her again. The last thing she needed was more noise and alerted upstanding citizens on her trail. It was bad enough that Seras shot her once. But if her toy wanted to play rough, Larxene would be more than happy to oblige.

The sudden fresh scent told her she'd met her target better than any cry of pain could have and again she had to stand and fight that urge to leap forward like an animal, grab onto and sink in her teeth and drink. Probably why she never saw the blow coming, so busy with trying to fight her enemy over the gun and to keep herself controlled. Whoever this was they were strong, actually making it an effort for her to keep the gun raised as much as it was and then suddenly it didn't matter anymore, the metal was loosed from her grip as a fist impacted into her cheek, seding her hurtling back across the ground.

She rolled and came to a stop, moving up into a crouch without even thinking about it and baring her teeth though momentarily taken aback by how far she'd travelled because of that one hit. Her cheek throbbed, though that pain started to dull within seconds. Alright, she was in a hostile situation, unarmed and against an enemy whose abilities were... unknown, but abnormal. Realistically she should retreat or call for backup but something in her didn't want to, it wanted to take this person down by herself.

Maybe it was the anger she felt now that whoever this was had invaded her privacy, had killed her colleague and attacked her. Perhaps maybe now she could actually take advantage of the changes that had happened to her over the past few weeks. But no, duty, follow procedure, reaching down she went for the radio, intending to get off a call for help.

Great, at least she wasn't going to get shot again. While Seras was trying to get up again after getting a freight train smack her cheek, Larxene wasted no time in unloading the gun, putting the bullets and the gun itself into a pocket on her cloak. Now for the main task: taking care of Seras herself. The mortally injured cop and the gunshot were already threatening to compromise the entire thing. In fact, the only reason she could stand any chance at not getting caught was because she were on good terms with people so deeply entrenched in the depths of the Abyss where the authorities rarely if ever dared to show their useless mugs. And even then, the risks she was taking here were just irrational. That realization made clear, it was time to turn this into a more private party before anyone caught the whole spectacle. Even if few people lived in this part, it's not like they were in a wasteland devoid of prying eyes.

Time to turn up the aggressiveness. Once the gun was taken care of she dashed forwards. The poor little girl had only gotten up on her feet and started reaching for her radio when the second strike landed. Larxene's dash had finished off with a backfist to Seras' face coupled with knee-strike to her groin. With the air knocked out of her, Larxene grabbed her by the right arm, forced her into a a 180-degree turn and pushed her against the building, aided by a kick to her thigh. Results? Seras crashed against a wooden door with enough force to cause a light crack in it. With mere feet separating them, it wasn't long before Larxene had made a second dash towards the shaken policegirl, locking her left arm into a restraining grip once she was within her reach again.

The adrenaline brought about by the fury that the injury had caused her was dying down though, and Larxene finally slowed down. In a final move, she arced her head backwards and then forwards again, causing the hood on the cloak to fall down to her neck, revealing her face to Seras. "I guess you really are a hero - a stupid one, at least! So what will it be? Gonna give up now, or do I have to bully you around a bit more?"

To be honest though? Larxene was, at this point, perfectly clear on the fact that she was probably the dumber one here, having clearly rushed into action and taking unnecessary risks simply because she couldn't stand the thought of a toy she had invested so much time and energy in just running away from her in the beat of a heart. But there could be no turning back now, especially since she didn't have any backup plan ready.

She was so fast, Seras could barely tell what was happening from one moment to the next except for where the pain blossomed on her body, making her cry out in useless protest. The radio dropped from her hands and she was sure, broke as the blonde stumbled backwards and then she was spun, the world travelling so quickly and only stopping when she hit something hard and heavy. Wood, a door. The police girl coughed and started to push herself off of it, trying to turn to face her enemy but again she wasn't quick enough.

This time it was her arm that suffered, taken in a firm hold and twisted up painfully behind her back, prompting another cry from the woman as she struggled against it before she was dealt another shock to the system. When the hood fell back she recognised her assailant immediately, "Fiona?!" and then it all made horrified sense, Fiona had been the one spying on her and that day when they talked outside the station, all those questions. Prying for information of course, Seras you idiot, she cursed herself, starting to tremble in the hold.

It was welling up again, just like all those times when she was a child, the betrayal, the violation of herself and her privacy and now the murder of her colleague and this subsequent assault. Anger. She felt angry and hurt and that was enough to seal her decision before Fiona even asked her question. "Get off me!" She snapped.

With a flexibility she did't even know she had Seras dropped her head forward before suddenly snapping it back in a blue of movement, aiming for the back of her skull to impact with the other blondes face. At the same time she used the monstrous strength she'd gained in the past month to try and break the hold, hoping the mutual shock of the headbutt and her own strength would be enough to free her so she could get some distance to turn and face her assailant.

How she loved it! The fear, the anger, the bitterness! Seras frustration was just the thing Larxene wanted! This was what she had worked so hard to achieve! Her eyes widened, her senses sharpened, a smile emerged on her face, contrasting Seras state. And then it hit her like cold shower. She hadn't expected to have such a strong counter attack smack her in the face so soon, especially not after Seras had taken a beating like that. It wasn't the fact that she was attacking alone that did it though; Larxene was like a stone wall of brawling, capable to soak up hits like a sponge without yielding an inch. And here she found her head rocking backwards as if someone had vertically slammed a steel beam into her face. It really hurt, almost as bad as getting shot in the leg. That wasn't just adrenaline or regular training. There was something unnatural about it; someone her size shouldn't be able to hit that hard. And this, the notion that Seras just like Larxene was more than just a human (or in Larxene's case, technically less) made it even more interesting to the Nobody.

But enough of the internal analysis of things. Half the battle was already won on Seras behalf as Larxene had to let go of her arm, backing away with a pained moan, trying to regain regain her cohesion before the next strike.

But fortunately for Larxene, something like that would only take mere seconds. Momentarily blurred vision aside, she wouldn't let Seras win the second half of the battle, not as it was just getting good. Before her opponent could run off, the cloaked bitch delivered a high side-kick against Seras chest with such force that she left her feet, sending the blonde cop through the already damaged wooden door like a cannon ball. Seeing as neither of them were human per say, there wasn't really any reason for Larxene to hold back on her strength either; this toy probably wouldn't break anyway, and subduing her would probably require it anyway.

She stepped forward into the building itself, standing just two feet away from Seras and blocking the path out in a guard stance. "Ha ha, you really don't have much up there, do you? I'm not your Fiona. Your friend is dead. You aren't half bad though, but don't think I'll throw this fight just because your feelings are getting hurt. I haven't even started playing with you yet." The mandatory insulting Larxenian monologue right there. Her figure seemed imposing as she stood there, hovering about her prey, but even she knew that Seras wasn't a pushover (learning things the hard way). Hence the guarding stance as she shielded parts of her body with her arms, ready to (hopefully at least) counter what the other had in store for her.

In those brief moments she thought she'd actually managed her goal as the other blonde let go of her, she could hear her stumble back a few paces and as soon as she was free Seras went to dart to the side and get some kind of distance between them. Once again though she underestimated her opponent and instead of making it down the road she was sent sailing through the wooden door she'd only recently been shoved up against.

Thw wood splintered around her as she hit the floor and rolled instinctively coming back up to her feet again unsteadily and turning towards the entranceway with her fists curled. Blood was pouring from her nose and she absent mindedly licked it off her face, shivering at the taste which only heightened the anger inside now. Something this bitch wasn't helping, not Fiona, well she should have guessed that, the blonde felt brief remorse that the other woman was dead but she had no time to dwell on it.

The bruises from earlier were already healing and Seras flexed her fingers before snarling through teeth that suddenly seemed sharper. "What is this, a game to you?!" She couldn't help but ask and then she ran forward, not even trying to think back to her self-defence classes, it was almost like something else was guiding her as she darted forward in a blur and slammed her fist up under the other blonde's chin. "Who are you? Really?!"

She stumbled a little after, the shock of what was her own strength and power now confusing her for a moment as she tried to logically explain before her training took over and told her to stop thinking, to keep her eyes on her opponent and deal with her first.

Here it comes! Larxene saw it coming miles away. All it'd take would be to block it with her right elbow and then uppercut her into submission by exploiting her exposed state. And she did so too. Block, at least. Up until the moment that the realization set in that putting your elbow in front of that tied fist was about as effective as trying to stop a train by holding out your hand in front of it. Her arm was knocked into her face and Sera's punch struck true against Larxene, once more sending her head into a backwards arc, leaving a aerial trail of saliva and blood in its wake. Brilliant - she was bleeding from the gums too now. This really hadn't been the best of ideas.

She backed away a step, snarling in outright fury with her teeth showing for a few brief moments before she managed to collect herself, rebuilding that façade of hers. A soft chuckle, followed by a remarkably calm response. "Oh, I'm nobody, really. But if I were you, I'd sooner ask myself who you really are yourself!" A question she really wanted to know the answer to, to be honest.

Larxene's eyes dotted around the hall a bit; she really didn't know how to hit back, but set out to drive Seras away from the exit. As tempting as cutting her face to shreds with the knives she kept concealed inside her cloak wasn't an option. Going for heavy strikes that'd push her back towards the stairs or some of the apartments a few feet down behind her would be the best way to go. She started a running motion, putting her elbows in front of her face. The attack was as crude as it was powerful - Larxene was trying to counter brute force with the same stuff by smashing her opponent's face in with her elbows and force her away from the exit with a powerful tackle.

The brief victory sent a thrill through her, shocking, pleasing. It reminded her of when she was a child, small and hurting so badly from her parents deaths and the easiest way to react to anything was with violence, even the other children at the orphanage. It was something she'd worked hard to put under lock so as to be a suitable candidate for the police where restraint was an important factor, even here. It prompted a small smile that she quickly pushed from her face, instead backing warily to watch her opponent, waiting for her next move.

Her question hit though, for Seras wondered, this strange strength and speed and being able to just know where things were, to see beyond what human vision could possibly see and worst that attraction to blood. She really did wonder, and she didn't like the obvious word that came to mind when you put those symptoms together. "You've been watching me! Why?!"

She was coming towards her and Seras' blue eyes widened before she brought her hands up instinctively, intending to catch the black clothed figure by her elbows. However the charge had too much build up and after sliding backwards a few feet her heels hit a small rise in the floor and she went down onto her back. Without a thought she pulled Larxene down after her and bringing her legs up into her stomach, attempted to launch her over Seras's own body.

The question and everything else was lost on her. All of this would've hurt significantly less if they had actually bothered to make the floor out of something else than cement. The kick had sent her flying back in a half-moon arc, landing on the back of the floor with her head just an inch away from Seras' with a resounding crash that echoed across the hall. But hurtful as it may have been, this was just a pain in the ass (more-or-less literally). No bones were broken and aside from some bleeding in her mouth and from her leg, she was in a pretty good shape, considering the circumstances.

An eye for an eye. As acrobatic as always, Larxene pushed herself up into a backwards somersault, and just as quickly as she had fallen she was up again, landing on Seras' face with both her heels pressing down at her before a backflip brought her back to a safer distance from the other one. Seras wasn't going to get out of her without getting through her, and that just wouldn't happen.

A mocking gesture in her general direction, "So the little heroine thinks she can fight her way out of this, huh?" Well, to be honest, she was starting to come to a lack of words here. Even if she could handle it so far, the punishment Seras had given her had knocked a lot of the steam out of Larxene to the point where the child's play was nearing its end in favor of knifeplay, seeing as fists and feet alone did little damage to either of them.

Relief didn't last long, Seras had thought her little stunt might have stunned Larxene for longer but longer turned out to be no time at all. There was a rush of air behind her and just as Seras was moving to raise herself from the floor there was a sudden shadow over her and then pain as the other woman's feet smashed down into her face. For a moment she thought she was going to black out and the blow certainly left her dazed but she managed to stay conscious and thanks to the adrenaline running through her roll over and scramble to her feet.

Reaching up she swiped a gloved hand over her face to clean off some of the blood and sniffed, the rapidly familiar growing feeling of her body mending itself already at work. Whatever had happened to her, whatever she was now she was grateful because if not then she'd be in a lot more trouble than she was. At least this way she had a chance of defending herself and escaping whatever plans this woman had had for her.

Right now, the most important thing was for her to get out of this warehouse and to do that she had to get through Larxene, so that was just what she'd do. Glancing down she noted a stretch of metal on the ground, perfect. Seras grabbed it and charged forwards, lifting the length of steel that a grown man would have stuggled to hold and throwing it at the other blonde. The idea was simple, while her opponent dealt with the pipe Seras would follow through with a punch and hopefully take her down before carrying on out of the door.
