In a sense, Itachi mentally told himself that it was futile to continue his search for Kazama. That there was no point and that he was still gone ( -- And probably never return -- ) but even so, the thought itself made his gut coil into a sickening sensation. He didn’t sleep whilst he was with Nill, Yosuke, and Shikamaru. He laid on the couch in a half-daze with half-closed red hues, his gaze meeting the ceiling with a dullness, and his chest letting out shallow exhales and inhales.
Leaning upwards in a half-sitting position from his sleep, Itachi lowered his head and hoisted up his frame with the remaining arm as his hand ran through his hair. Eyes drifted to the window and it was instant that he knew that the time was almost four-thirty in the morning. The balls of his palms inserted into the hollows of his eyes and he rubbed them - the exhaustion was still spreading through his nerves and veins like a parasite as he lifted himself up from the couch that complained with a creaking noise.
Mentally, he thought it would be best to leave before the others were awoken for the sake of Yosuke and Nill not interfering in his search for Kazama, and themselves acting stupidly. It was something Itachi wouldn’t risk. But Itachi wasn’t in his right mind at the moment. Despise the typical apathy that graced his visage, he looked completely drained, sickly, pale and thin. But none of those conditions would stop him from going towards the front door and continuing his search.
