Grell was trying not to sulk over the loss of his star client - really, he was, but the truth of the matter was that Azula's sudden disappearance had left the shinigami with a foul mood that not even hours of dress-up in front of his favorite full-length mirror could shake. Perhaps it was because things with Yaha were still up in the air after their little squabble over Giovanni.
A month already, and not a word. Hmph! Some "best friend." Grell mentally grumbled as he leapt from rooftop to rooftop, chainsaw scythe in hand, crimson hair trailing behind in the wind. He'd been summoned early this morning on official soul collecting business, which meant temporary unrestricted access to Elysium - a thought that did cheer the redhead, just a little. Grell effortlessly cleared another ledge and then came to an abrupt halt. Gio lives not far from here. Perhaps I should drop by and pay the dearheart a visit, since I'm up this way. It wouldn't take me terribly far out of my way.
Devious grin tracing his features, Grell changed directions, gliding across the Elysian rooftops for another few city blocks, then nimbly hopped down to the street level. He made sure to tuck his scythe away under his new satin trench coat (red, of course) as he made his way to the entrance and waited for one of the apartment building's occupants to exit. Calling up to have Gio buzz him in would ruin the surprise, after all.
Grell caught the door as a petite blonde girl exited out onto the sidewalk, darting inside and crossing to the elevator. The redhead hit the button for the eleventh floor, then gave himself a quick final appraisal in the mirrors of the elevator's interiors before the doors once again opened. Grell chuckled softly as he pushed the button for the doorbell to Gio's apartment, and waited for the door to open.
