Summary: Madara's "recovering", Sasuke is being a good little boy, and Belial is a whore.

The bandages were unnecessary. Not even the doctors who had performed the surgery would know this, of course, but as soon as the transplant had been finished, his body healed instantly. He could feel immediately that his immortality was restored, chakra surging as his nerves reconnected with the gift of his bloodline. But as usual, this was not something that Madara wanted to let on. He didn't want the doctors or his military keepers to know how strong he'd become. Certainly, he didn't want his fellow subjects to know. Such information would only lead to tension and competition, more trouble than they were worth at the moment.
And so, as he had for so many months now, Madara lay in bed and played the role of the helpless cripple, albeit now a recovering one. Sasuke was there with him, which was nice because he had someone to complain to. Fingers poking under his bandages, he fussed and muttered, "It's itching. Right in my skull. Ugh, I just want to scratch them out. Is there any booze stashed in this room?"
