This almost seemed like hell. Almost, not quite but just almost there. And Mello, with his blank expression and newly-formed apathy that decorated him like an unimpressive and unfinished sculpture, the blonde stood in front of the motel door. The timing was almost impressive. Because Nagi had been just about to flee once more, rip out the IV needle, take to the streets in some desperate combination of fear and anger -- when the door clicked open, and a familiar figure came sauntering in. The blonde did not want to think about it. the fact that it was Nagi that took his arm, it couldn’t have been Nagi, because the person who caused such a injury to the blonde was a completely different person - but those delusions quickly wavered into the back of his skull as a quick flip on the kettle and cups were brought out and settled on the tacky shit-eating counter. He snorted at Nagi’s words. And soon enough a rush of hot liquid and steam emerged from the cups ( ... )

Chin resting on his cross arms, Nagi was silent for a long moment, only quietly watching the other's movements out of the corner of his vision. Trying to gather his shattered thoughts and piece them together, in hopes that it would help him understand this situation. Because it didn't make sense, did it? Maybe, before this macabre tragicomedy had started, he would have been able to understand these sentiments -- this train of thought allowing a person to call someone who tore your arm off a "friend ( ... )
