Hot Damn! Everything went fine
W00T! The drag queens showed up with like 5 min to spare, and were totally ready to go. Katie and I were pulling out hair out in the hour leading up to the performance, but everything went more or less great. (The bass and another speaker blew out) Everyone seemed to have an awesome time, and the drag queens got tipped a lot. They were happy about that. Katie took care of the contracts and the check requests, and I was running back and forth from the green room and the sound booth to make sure there was communication happening :). It was so much fun!
After the show, Tinea (the leader) asked me how I got her number. I was told her I got it from Robin, the manager of the dance company I work for. She was like, "You aren't a stripper, are you?" And as soon as I told her I was, the other queens went for the doors and like barred them. "Hunnie, you ain't leavin' til we see your moves." So, I was like, "...haha good one, ladies." And then they like, "We're serious." So, they turned on some music, and I took off my shirt (where upon all the queens swarmed me to feel my chest, haha) I stopped after that, cuz thank god one of the sound check girls came in. So I told the girls they should come see me work this friday. Talk about a wild and crazy night.
Now off to read for another hour for class -_-;;
