Neo Goth Models Suck

How is it that Neo Goth models think that having brown and dishwater blond hair is cool, let alone Goth? How can anyone call call themselves Goth when they look like Britney Spears in PVC?

I think people who spend too much time obsessing about "what isn't Goth" are probably in a phase.

Dress how you like. Let other people dress how they like. And stop slapping labels on everything.

I'm usually too busy having fun to worry about what other people are wearing. Life's too short to worry about what other people may or may not be doing, especially complete strangers.

Are your delicate sensibilities really so easily offended by the colour of someone's hair? Is it better to be strange or accept strange?

Seriously, who fucking cares? Comments like this have made me re-think my own personal aesthetics. Also, is your issue in this presumably fictitious scenario the cape or the tennis shoes? I really hope it isn't the sneakers (as boring as they may be).

Yeah, I am loathe to dress stereotypically uber goth these days, because I feel like I'm inadvertently entering some sort of goth costume contest to compete for the "Most Hardcore" title. I'd rather wear off white or royal blue or bright red and actually have my own style, instead of just a variation on an elaborate but cookie cutter look.

There's something to be said about being way beyond the "this is goth, this is not" phase of life. At this point if anyone questions my "cred" or whatthefuckever I would just laugh. Anyone stupid enough to base that sort of thing off of what color you're wearing is clearly a plebe anyway.

I’m sorry I should have been more specific. I’m doing an essay on infra-red photography, I was looking to hire (as in pay real money) a Goth model to do a photo shoot with and the “professional goth models” that responded had stringy brown or dishwater blond hair. It really pissed me off and I didn’t think before I posted my lame ass nipple twisted rant.

Please understand I’m not speaking of your average “Goth” or “Dark” person. I don’t care how they dress or how they do their hair. I was merely speaking of someone who is getting paid to look a certain way. I’ll shut up now thanks.
