Rats. Star Wars: Empire At War has just been released last February 16. AND I HAVEN'T PLAYED IT YET!!! Ya know, it would have been a good compensation for my loveless Valentine's Day if some internet/gaming cafe in Manila or here in Cainta had the half-brain to install the damn thing in their PC's. BUUT NOOOO!! All the games I usually see when I go to those net/gaming cafes are just the following!:
-Warcraft III: DOTA All Stars
-RF Online
-Tantra
-Ragnarok Online
-ROSE Online
-Freestyle
...MMORPG, MMORPG... ARGH! Well, I'm sorry if I dislike them as much as hip-hop videos or music, (Well, most of them anyway...), I just don't like them! I prefer RTS games like I prefer rock/alternative music! (Although RTS seems to be as dead as the rock genre of music.) Now I understand that you might not get your money's worth playing RTS games in an internet/gaming cafe (probably an average of 1 hour per mission), but at least the PC's there in those gaming cafes are probably some of the most advanced (Athlon XP 2500 and GeForce FX 5500...I think...) and could run the latest games, especially for those who cannot play the game in their own home PC's.
Enough MMORPG's, gimme my Empire At War! Gimme my Imperial Star Destroyers, AT-AT's and my Sith Lords! Gimme my starship to starship combat! GRRR...
*sighs*
Anyway, I've been kept busy these past few days by an Advertising Festival back at the university (that still brings back memories of *bleep*), and more recently, my on the job training at a magazine. Not that the magazine is a publication that I would like to write anything for, though. (If it were an anime magazine, that would have been an entirely different matter...) Another thing keeping me busy is "Youtube-surfing". You can find a lot of old music videos that usually don't get played anymore on MTV, or Yahoo! Launch, for that matter (being the "pop-headed motherfuckers" that they are). There's J-pop and J-rock, too!
Also, I'm back at the TPTS forums. Got a lot of catching up to do, but oh well, it's still fun to talk to the fellow anime otaku there (even though my interest in LOTR seems to have waned). Oddly enough though, the forum went "Bandwidth Limit Exceeded" again today... Hmm...whould I just link my avatar to a photo-hosting site? Or should I cut down on making links to Youtube? Yare, yare...
Another thing keeping me busy: Collecting DVD's of Great Teacher Onizuka. Good thing I picked that up. (Urumi Kanzaki! *swoons*) Anyway, I'm done with the animated version, and plan to take a peek at the live action drama version starring Takashi Sorimachi as the "Great Teacher" himself.
According to [M]ad[C]at, Battle for Middle-Earth 2 will be out when March comes around. Shit! Too many RTS games to play, too little time, and the gaming/cafes are really idiotic in their choice of games...or maybe it's just me.
