It's cool to take these chances, it's cool to fake romances.

Went to Dashboard with the Wench tonight. Phenomenal time, love Dashboard so so much. He played a bunch of new stuff of course, although he didn't play "Reason to Believe" which was disappointing, but he did "Don't Wait." And he played "Good Fight" which he didn't play the first time I went to a Dashboard concert and was disappointed about. Maybe next concert he'll play me some "Reason to Believe" and we'll build a wonderful tradition.

The opening bands mostly sucked (no big surprise but I had hopes). We walk in late as the first band is finishing their last song and we hear him screaming "CATCH MY DISEASE!!!" Very sketchy.

The second band ("Say Anything") was a wonderful ensemble of a guy on drums, a mediocre lead singer and four guitar players. The number of guitarists in bands is getting as out of hands as blades in razors. "Please welcome to the Boston Opera House The Gillette Fusions!!!"

Then finally Dashboard, he opened with "Heaven Here" and lead right into "Rooftops and Invitations" followed quickly "The Secret's in the Telling." Then he took a short break to talk to the audience and flirt with the girls in the front row. Then he finally played me some "Good Fight" and went into a couple other older songs, I've forgotten how the rest of the set list went, but he did a wonderful version of "Ghost of a Good Thing" which the crowd was surprisingly bad at singing on their own. Best moments of the night though were when he did "Remember to Breathe" which always gets me kind of watery in the eyes, "Swiss Army Romance" and as always let's the crowd finish off the last lines which is so much fun.

"We're not 21, but the sooner we are the sooner the fun will begin so get out your fake eyelashes and fake IDs and real disaster ensues. It's cool to take these chances, it's cool to fake romances, and grow up fast. And grow up fast. And grow up fast."

Then he capped it off with an energetic rendition of "Hands Down"

"Stay quiet, stay near, stay close they can't hear...so we can get some."

All in all a fantastic concert, I can't wait till the next one.

Also to whomever it may concern, tommorrow I will be leaving on vacation for two weeks to visit my mom and my brother. So to those I did not get a chance to see before leaving and are returning to school before I get back, sorry I missed you, and goodbye. I'll be returning the night of the 28th, so for those who are still around I'll be returning to frisbee for the 29th and will keep returning until less than three other people show up.
