Triumphant return to the world of Live Journal. Yes, I have more things left unsaid that need to be said. Mostly, they wind up being questions I want answered by people. Sometimes they are rants of a somewhat EMO nature. Who really cares though in the end, as long as your enjoying what your doing, only the state police can stop you ( Read more... )

Are the sins of the parent the crime of the son?

Hahahaha. Good question. I don’t think it’s a crime against the children, If it is, then that’s fucked up. I think the children get punished for the crimes of their parents inevitably. Like in your example, of course the child will suffer. He lost his mother to his father. In my case, I missed out on having a father, because mine was a user, abuser, and didn’t give two shits about me or Jason. The child should not have to pay for what his or her parents do, but I think in our society, they end up doing so.

If a parent commits a heinous act on his/her children, are the children doomed to repeat said act?

If that’s true, then I’m doomed to become a gay person, who will marry just to prove I’m not, then beat and abuse my significant other, try and brainwash the kids, and abuse them as well. Man, I don’t think I want that to happen O.O But Like I said before, life is what you make it. Some things I consider genetic, but other things are more socially-taught. If a parent was a molester, it is because of some abuse they experienced when they were younger. Their child may have a better chance of becoming a molester than an average joe, but I don’t think that it’s written in their fate to become one. Sure, there was abuse, but at a certain age you become aware of that and you decide how to handle it. That’s what I believe anyway.
