It is a beautiful Sunday morning. This weekend, Kat and Colleen both went home from Friday until Tuesday because Clark has Monday and Tuesday off of school. Amy and I were a little bit worried because sometimes it's really hard to find something fun to do on weekends when it's just 2 of you. But! We actually have been having a ton of fun...WITHOUT THEM. lol, no, I miss them! The suite is weird and empty with just the two of us. The past two nights were fun though so I am going to go into some detail about that.
Friday night, my friend, Graham came to our suite to hang out for a little while, and then Amy and him and I headed over to Joe McClintock's house on Grand St. Joe's best friend from home, Loren, was visiting, and Dave Robinson was hanging out too. We hung out there for a while before all of us (minus Dave) went to some girl's birthday party at 70 Downing. Amy and I were laughing because this is SOOOO not the kind of party we are into. Our friend, Alyssa, who is Joe's girlfriend, invited us, but there were lots of jocks and stupidity going on. This kid, Alex Minkoff, joined us, and eventually Amy, me, Graham, and Alex went to this other party at our friend, Alan's house. This place was way cooler, and we met up with Henry and Tommy and Ben there too. I talked to that kid, Alex, a lot and he was wicked cool, but he left before I did. This party was cool because it was actually at our friend's house, and everyone was being nice except for these few girls who were making fun of Amy and I because we weren't punk kids! Pretty sure they called us Dirty Hipsters and laughed at us. Not that I care, I mean, really? Get a life. After a few hours, Graham left too, and then Ben, Amy, Henry, Tommy and I went back to 70 Downing, which had apparently changed to a better party. We got there and these 2 kids who I love named Eli and Ziyad were there, so we hung out with them for awhile. Then Amy, Henry, Tommy, Ziyad, and I went to Ross Nibur's house to end the night. We just sat around before Amy and I finally got the energy to go back home. Overall, awesome night!
Last night, Amy and I were like, "Oh there probably won't be a lot going on" because a lot of people went home for the long break. It was pretty late before we went out at all, but we eventually met up with some cool kids. We saw Evan Rose walking by on Charlotte St., so we ended up hanging out at his friend, Andy's, house for a little while before heading to this party at 95 Downing. Andy and his girlfriend, Nina, had this adorable kitty which I loved for a long time! As we were leaving their house to go to 95 Downing, I ran into this kid, Drew, who does not go to Clark, but we met at a party last weekend and kind of kept in touch. He was like, "....Hey!" and I didn't recognize him for a second, but then I was like, "HEEEY!" and we hugged. Drew decided to come with us all to 95 Downing, on the 3rd floor where Evan's friends live. When we got there, it was actually only 15 or so people just hanging out, but it was fun and I talked to Drew a lot. After a little while, we went down to the first floor, where Henry lives. Ben, Seshu, Declan, Tiara, and Tiara's boyfriend were all down there making hot chocolate and having a fire in the fire pit! Yay! We all sat around the fire, and different people trickled in and out, like Eli and Nico and Zach Schnitzer and Tommy. Drew was sitting next to me and we were talking a lot, and when I said I was cold, he rubbed my hands to warm them up and we ended up holding hands for a while. It was funny. Amy told me that Tommy (who is our gay friend who transferred freshman year and now goes to Northeastern) was all, "Amy, is Kate seeing that guy?!" Haha. When it was getting really late, Amy said she wanted to go home, so Drew and I left with her. We were walking home and had to part ways with Drew, but he hugged me and said, "we'll chat." Not quite sure what that implies, but it was fun hanging out with him.
Overall, it has been a really fun weekend, and it's crazy how stress-free it is without Kat and Colleen...I feel a little guilty saying that, but there is too much drama to go into with Kat and this other friend group who we know, and Colleen and that friend group, and between Kat and Collz, it's just too much. I'm really over trying to keep everyone happy and, to use Colleen's words, "walking on eggshells" around Kat because she doesn't want us hanging out with certain people. It's just awk. So, this weekend away from that has actually been awesome.
Now it's Sunday morning, I have tons of homework I need to get done today but really I just want to lay around in my bed. It's a nice day and I just want to lay outside and do nothing but I cannot let that happen! I'm also STARVING and waiting for Amy to wake up... :/
