bread baking

whole grain
home baked.

I've been baking bread again, and I'm now working from Laurel's bread book. It has a very good aproach with isolating what variables effect what outcomes.

Wishlist:
molasses, blackstrap and otherwise
a baking stone
a second oven rack for our oven
a grinder to grind my own flour (well, maybe not)
a bread machine
a comercial style dough kneader/fancy $$ food processor.

or, screw the last three....who needs machines anyway.

I plan on making bread once a week or more for the forseeable future. I made bread with kamut flour last night, and a bread with mostly whole wheat and a little whole rye flour and oat flour mixed in.

Ideas I am excited about:
soy bean bread
soy milk bread
black beans ""
garbanzo bean""
cottage cheese
yoghurt in bread
soy yogurt in bread
sour dough bread
making sour dough starter
pumpernickle and rye bread
whole wheat "french" bread
oatmeal bread with rolled oats
Rice breads

soy/fruit smoothies would be fun too.
and now that we have a small food processor I can make salsa experiments
again...yee haw. I got some fancy hot peppers at edge of the woods the other day.

yay complex carbohydrates.
