Dear Muse: WTF???
In the next 48 hours, I have to:
- Finish a newsletter with Serious Layout Issues
- Write FIVE, yes FIVE, Dream Horse letters (at 1000-1400 words apiece)
- Teach two lessons
- Read about thirty pages for Psych
- Feed and clean up after a dozen horses (x2)
- Hold horses for the farrier
- Go to Alpharetta and back
- Go do laundry
- and write two essays, including outlines.
You've been AWOL for the past several weeks, and now, only NOW, do you come bearing flowers, epic music, and an endless stream of ideas for the Trilogy.
Not funny.
Day 23 of the never-ending meme: Something that makes you feel better
Riding. Purring kitties. Rereading favorite books. Clear sunshine. The way my horses smell. TEA. Journaling (except I haven't much at all this year, and I think that's why I constantly feel like I'm going crazy). Yoga. Talking to people who make me laugh.
Oh! And this week, finding an envelope in the mail from
darklingwoods , who is just the most wonderfully talented artist and a lovely TORn-friend. :) It makes me smile sometimes thinking of all of the people I might have never encountered were it not for the Internet... it's odd, in a way, but I feel grateful to have made these connections anyway. Plus, I now have beautiful Tolkien-inspired artwork for my walls!
http://www.etsy.com/shop/darklingwoods?section_id=5132306 The online images really do not do justice to the COLOR. They're bright and ethereal at the same time... they make me think of a cross between vivid imagination and fond childhood memory. :)
