The Prettyface Prettacy 2.3

Mar 03, 2015 13:50

Previous Updates

Previously on the Prettyface Prettacy: Polly was a great big sister (and was possessed by an evil spirit), Alumina was an awesome nanny, Percy and Marquise failed to get the third child Marquise needed for her LTW, Priscilla became a cute pigtailed child, and the Prettyface farmhouse was expanded.

Note: Homer Land, Junior Mann and the Swimming Hole were created by Peni Griffin and can be found on Widespot.

Also, the screenshots taken with Fraps are of very poor quality this time in spite of my best efforts to make them better. I apologize in advance.

We'll start off with the new loading screen. They're certainly a happy family.

I need to get new PJs for Priscilla. I don't like the idea of her wearing a dressing-gown to bed, even if you can see the pyjama underneath.

The girls leave for school. I should point out that, while I let the girls sleep, I cheated and made their parents spend the whole night skilling for promotions, and using the Sim Blender to make sure their motives would remain high. In other words, Percy was up all night playing chess...

...while Marquise worked out in the unfinished part of the house.

She's still a long way from her goal, though, and in spite of her high motives you can see it's taking a toll on her.

"Please... make... it... stop!"

All things considered, Percy is in a much more comfortable situation.

He's also a little conflicted between his secondary love for Knowledge and his sense of self-preservation.

When his carpool arrives, a passer-by attracts his attention in a way that makes me think she might be a Popularity sim.

Once again, we have an awesome name, courtesy of my game mod - not to mention one of my favourite Maxis faces.

We have the first A+ in this legacy!

I immediately stop torturing Marquise so that she can cheer her daughter.

I've been thinking of getting the Prettyfaces a dog, so I better lock Polly's want. She certainly deserves the treat once I'm able to fulfill it.

Let's see what Priscilla got...

"A C+? That's not fair!"

It's your first day, honey. Give it time.

Aww.

Polly then decides to play with her sister, while Berenice Nightmare walks by their front door for the second time today.

I hear a strange noise, and decide to look for its source. It's a while wolf called Alabama, who is having some fun playing with the puddles.

Suddenly, Alabama stopped playing and decided to growl at Berenice.

At first, it looked like the poor girl was terrified...

...but then she scowled Alabama before running off in a huff.

"Man, that was one crazy lady."

She then turned her attention back to the puddles.

Aww. Looking at Priscilla's thought bubble, it looks as if she's congratulating her sister for her A+.

It would have been sweeter if not for the fact their faces seemed to be melding.

Percy came back and danced with his youngest for a bit, still under Alabama's watchful gaze.

Only then did he get a welcome home hug from Polly.

"Lalalala don't mind me, just passing through again, lalaladeedah..."

Methinks someone is dying to become a part of this prettacy.

I want to see if Percy maxes his interest in Nature, so I buy them a little garden plot.

The girls seem to approve.

"LADYBUGS!"

Priscilla helps her dad earn those pesky logic points.

Here are the skill points Marquise and Percy still need for their promotions. That lonely body point is taking forever.

I'm not going to subject them to another all-nighter, though, so I send everybody to bed.

Priscilla looks particularly terrifying when she's asleep - and not just because of the Prettyface inability to close their eyes properly.

Three-bolters. *sighs*

I see Alabama left them a little gift.

"HI, PRISCILLA!" *wavewavewave*

Polly is clearly a morning person.

Percy wants to plant some seeds, so I let him get to it.

He leaves the job unfinished because of his carpool, but at least he got the aspiration boost beforehand.

Because it's Marquise's day off again and she wants to swim, I decide to take her to Widespot's Swimming Hole. Hopefully she'll get that pesky body point she needs.

Very gracious.

"There, I got that damn point. Can we go home now?"

You're the one who wanted to come here, you know.

Once home, she gains a charisma point, ensuring her promotion when she goes back.

(Also, it amuses me that the speech bubble isn't really a reflection, as it's clearly not pointing the same way.)

"A B+? This sucks! Ah well, at least I don't have any homework."

"I do. :D :D :D"

Those girls are very popular and are always bringing other kids home with them. This time, Priscilla's friend is a cool-looking boy named Quick, who invited her to play tag the moment he stepped out of the bus.

Polly's new friend, meanwhile, is this happy little girl.

Saturnina is so cheerful, in fact, that she's utterly fascinated by Polly's talk about couples counseling. (By the way, I need to mention how much I hate that this has such a grating pink background when it comes up in conversations. I never have that problem with any other topic.)

She also enjoys pillow fighting.

Meanwhile, the game of tag reached some rather painful levels.

"Tag! You're it!" *shoves arm down Priscilla's head*

I had to interrupt the game and force them to play something a little less painful.

Meanwhile, Percy and Marquise still have three bolts.

I still haven't bought anything new for Priscilla, so I made her go for a PJ like her sister's.

There you go. It's cute to see them wearing matching clothes, and this way the dressing-gown is gone.

Three. Bolts.

And we get the twin buses again the following morning.

Hi, Undine!
"Heeeeey, everybody!"

To my surprise, Percy and Undine waving at each other while she was walking by and he was leaving for work seems to have catapulted their relationship to BFF level. If you see Percy's wants panel earlier in this update, he had the want to become BFFs with her, and they didn't have any interaction since, so I can't see any other way this could have happened.
(Also, mental note: increase his relationship with Homer.)

FINALLY - on both accounts!

Marquise's carpool friend this time is another Widespot resident, Junior Mann.

Aww, look at Priscilla's look of triumph! It's a shame the trashcan is in the way.

Like with Polly, Priscilla gets Marquise's immediate attention.

Junior tries to entertain Marquise with a dirty joke, but since she only finds Percy's dirty jokes amusing this doesn't come down well.

"Hehehe yes, that was very... funny. Erm... please go home now."

Since they can now afford it and Priscilla was rolling the same want, it's time to finally add a new member to the family.

My choice falls on this little lass here. Something tells me she'll be a handful, but she might also be easy to teach and keep clean.

Hello again, Homer!

And congratulations, Percy!

Priscilla engages in a friendly game with Homer...

...while Marquise welcomes another of her husband's colleague - in this particular case, the animal trainer, who has brought the new puppy along.

And here's the little bundle of joy! In order to keep with the alliteration theme I'm going for with the Prettyfaces, her name is Peanut.

Polly is the first to rush to meet her.

"Are you my new mummy? Oh boy, I've got a family now!"

She also makes sure Peanut has everything she needs. Okay, so I ordered her to, but she seems happy to do it.

After all this time, and after her A+, it's only now that Polly rolled the want to learn how to do her homework properly.

While this was going on, I started hearing a sound like someone torturing a cat. I went in search of the source of the sound, and saw...

...this. I told Percy to hunt for fireflies, since he rolled the want for it, and somehow he managed to enrage a swarm of bees in the process.

"Hehehehe I escaped!"

That's because I ordered you inside.

Thanks for clogging the toilet, Homer.

"Who, me?" *looks innocent*

Another morning, another double bus sighting.

Percy enjoys some bonding time with Peanut before his own carpool arrives.

Evidence that Peanut's bladder is a TARDIS.

The size of that puddle is not surprising if we consider that she seems to eat her weight in dog food.

This after-school dancing session would have been cute if not for the fact one of the girls is standing on Peanut's puddle.

And she's wearing flip-flops, which is bound to make it even more disgusting and uncomfortable. Yerrcht.

Too little, too late.

Way to go, Percy.

This screenshot was taken to show you three things:
1) the extra space in the house finally has wallpaper and floorboards;
2) Priscilla is adorable (but you already knew that);
and 3) something very important is about to happen.

Yes, it's Polly's birthday!

"What am I supposed to do with this?"

NO, HOMER. BAD HOMER. *puts him in the friend zone stat*

Here we go...

Everybody's happy with this.

Yes, dear, you're still adorable.

She rolled Family just like her parents. My game seems to love variety. *sighs* On the other hand, she's got Pleasure as her secondary aspiration, which makes me shudder a little.

On the other hand, she's got a great LTW.

However, I feel that she secretly wants to be a superhero like her dad.

"And now, I must eat this slice of cake. Away!"

~*~
And that's it for now! But before I go, I want to mention that the Prettyface download page is up! So far you'll only find Percy and Marquise there, but Polly and Priscilla will be added once they reach adulthood. Percy was created without any CC and using a basegame outfit, so his looks might vary depending on your defaults, while Marquise is available with and without CC.
