Got back to Osaka this morning, after riding the NIGHT BUS. There's nothing more miserable than being stuck on a bus for 8 hours.. especially when the bus toilet is broken. I ran to the nearest bathroom SO FAST after arriving, haha!!
This basically summarizes my trip. I'll be going back to Tokyo in the summer with my brother and good friend, so I'll know where to avoid. I really loved Akihabara, though. I never thought I was that much of a nerd, but I guess I am. The maid cafes..oh, the overwhelming cuteness. Unfortunately you're not allowed to take any pictures inside of them or I'd show you. I did get a picture with a maid (for a price, of course), so if I can get to a scanner, I'll be showing it to you guys.
ANYWAY! As you guys may have noticed.. HEARD is now part of a comic collective, that just launched this week. There's a small ribbon banner in the upper left corner, as you may have noticed. Click on the art to visit the comic featured, or click on the "SAGE" logo to visit the hub site for the collective. There's a lot of good comics in the collective, including Honeydew Syndrome and Khaos Komix, and a million straight comics. Check it out, please!
Also: if you have any interest in there being an official HEARD forum, please sign up for the SAGE forum.
http://www.sage-comics.com/community/index.phpIf enough HEARD readers sign up and ask, there'll be a specific subforum just for HEARD-related discussion.
Anyway. I need to dry my hair and go to sleep.. and stop slacking off!
EDIT: I've been meaning to link to this FOREVER, but kept forgetting. So, here it is. I'm sure a lot of you are familiar with the work of Rachel, artist of subcultureofone.com .. if you're not familiar with her, then you should go check her stuff out. She's a really dedicated comicker whose Subculture of One webring has helped me bring in a lot of traffic to HEARD, and she really needs some help right now.

She's in need of serious treatment and surgery for her jaw, so if you have any spare money sitting around, consider donating to help her. As you can probably guess, comic artists don't make much money and this kind of thing is really hard to deal with, financially.
