David Jaffe Makes Me LOL
Those of you who follow video games but don't know who David Jaffe is, let me give you some brief history. He's best known as the director of God of War, and also developed games like Twisted Metal before that. He's a very outspoken fellow, unlike most others in the industry. Sure, sometimes he gets in trouble but the rest of the time you really feel for this man and say "Yeah Jaffe, tell'em what's on your mind!" I mean I loved his interview on GameTrailers where he said "Fuck you, fuck you up the ass!" which made me laugh. So Chris Kohler from Wired got an interview with the very opinionated fellow recently, and he had something more amusing to say towards Miyamoto and Mario Kart.
Kohler: Apparently when Miyamoto first went to Retro Studios, they were making a car combat game, he said, "Why would you make that? Why would you put a gun on a car?" And they stopped development on the game. So maybe you should answer that question. Why would you put a gun on a car?
Jaffe: You know, honestly, I've been too busy recently trying to figure out why the fuck go-karts shoot banana peels.
It's nothing serious, but while reading the interview it just made me laugh out loud. Sometimes speaking your mind gets you into unexpected trouble, but personality traits have their ups and downs. It seems some people didn't like his humour though, so Jaffe's getting some flak again.
