I've gotten more reading done than I normally get to...YAY!
Finished The Dragon Reborn. I will likely continue reading The Wheel of Time series sometime this semester...right now my brain needs a break for light reading with sex in it...
which brings me to Charlaine Harris' southern vampire series, or the "Sookie Stackhouse" series. It's what the TV series TrueBlood is based on, and it's wonderful. I'm absolutely tearing through them, and I have a feeling they will be often reread (I love re-reading books, and seeing the different enjoyment I get from them at different times...I still want a new copy of Princess Nevermore so that I can do this with that book...). So far, I've read: Dead Until Dark, Living Dead in Dallas, Club Dead, and Dead to the World, and I'm working on Dead as a Doornail. I've had them since Christmas, and I've been working quite a bit...they're easy reads, and very enjoyable...right up my alley...vampires, werewolves, telepaths, shifters, fairies, maenads, goblins...yup, I was a bit obsessed with the supernatural as a child, and I'm loving this series. Plus, each book has a mystery/suspense theme tied into it. So far, she has 8 books written, with the 9th coming in May. There are also short stories that are part of the "Sookie Universe."
