I just got back from my month-long NOLS course in the northern Wind River Mountains in Wyoming. I am having trouble adjusting, and I'm already ready to go back (now that I've had my shower and pint of Half-Baked). I am constantly jaywalking and forgetting to look both ways, and once I stopped walking right in the middle of a busy street. This is going to be weird. The NOLs instructors gave us an essay called "Briefing For Entry into a More Harsh Environment," and I think I will read it. I'm not going to write about the trip now, because it is too much to explain and I am tired, but ask me about it and I will tell you. It was amazing. I may post pictures later (I took a lot).
My parents bought me a used 2000 Jetta for my birthday, which is great. I put my "Call Me Ishmael" bumpersticker on it. Yay.
