Everywhere you go... it's the same.

I've been spending the last two weeks having fun at the Hintertux glacier at -30'C and enjoying the company of the new loves of my life.. Taking this picture took 15s and resulted in completely frozen parts of my body I never thought were freezable.

Place we stay in, almost at the glacier itself, while being quite nice, has one major flaw - no Internet access. So, after the first few refreshing days, being the incorrigible internet/email addicts that we are, we got shivers, handshakes, fever, etc. and decided it was time to go to the nearest town and get a GPRS card for Austrian wireless. So we did. There was no such thing in the nearest town, so we moved to next one. And next one. At the third one we even found a TV/phone shop office where they had a card which didn't require signing a lifetime contract with the mobile company to use. And here's the best part. After spending a productive 15 minutes of explaining the clerk precisely what we needed in my fluent (although somewhat rusty) German, she smiled at me and showed me a window case which contained a card. And she explained that they would be very happy to sell it to us.. in two weeks. They had it. It was for sale. It was working. But it was in a glass box. The box was locked with a key. The key belonged to the shop manager, who was there. But his wife was on holidays and she took all keys with her.

This sounded so... Polish. ^^ I felt warm inside. Ah well, there's always net cafes.
