'Babel' is good. Interesting plot, multiple ways in which you can read the movie and really good Brad Pitt. Plus watching it can really make you think differently about our global village.

Unfortunately (for me) I was expecting a little more from Inarritu after watching his almost perfect “Amores perros”… Ha, that movie was possibly the best thing ( Read more... )

That's two comments for the price of one!
And I traced your IP anyway. ;) )

What you said is definitely true, Craig is the closest to Connery when playing Bond than all other actors (and possibly to what Fleming originally had in mind). He's more of a brute and more... primal, I guess. His character also makes everything in the movie seem more plausible and realistic.

However, Connery's Bond was the one I liked the least. I think it's mainly because there are many movies that show intelligence wars and secret agent stories in a credible way. They show how these things might really work. Bond was always about gadgets, cars, chicks and cheesy one-liners and that's just how I liked my Bond thank you very much.
(My favourite scene ever is with Moore making out with some hottie when he gets a message from superiors "Don't go, James, I need you..." "SO DOES ENGLAND." That and British flag parachute.)

That's why, to me, Casino is a far better movie than most Bond movies, but at the same time it's just not as great Bond movie as the previous ones.
