Snowing, studying, sipping coffee, yesterday

Woke up on the sofa by the cell phone ringing next to me. Forgot I asked a friend to go study somewhere close to home. It was 12 pm. It wasn't snowing hard when I initially went out. Before i knew it I was cruising at 30 kph and the car was veering, my tires have no traction on the wet snow. On the plus side, it's beautiful and white outside, especially near the park where the conifers are dense. Skiing, must go skiing...

Last night I bonded with one of the girls I've known for years in night class over sushi and bad dating experiences/pick up lines. Subsequently got a random call from the friends I use as emo-punching bags, she thought it was a bad date phoning and told me to fill her in later...

i met up with my close friends and we ended up in the suburb one of them grew up. the place has a small, northern town feel to it, he said it's exactly like Dawson's Creek. well, it is on the water, has similar looking streets, buildings and picturesque docks.

They'd decided on "reconning" the only local club. The place had a really friendly vibe, kind of vibe u get in a small city. it's not hick, but at the same time the people aren't as sophis or chilly as big city residents get. 3 cop cars were waiting for it to close outside, in case there was any drunken scuffles. It figures that in a small, nice suburb the only source of concern is of course the local club, but not really. It's like expecting something to go down at a high school dance.
