Just listening to an interview with Matthew Herbert. The interviewer and he have a good time being indignant about Bono Vox selling records by talking about poverty.
Huh? Couldn't it possibly be the other way round?
Didn't he get rich and famous with huge-ass super world hits and then started using every interview to preach about the fight against poverty?
But no, he did something or other, which I know nothing about, for Apple and therefore (Apple? Apropos. Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow sold their daughter for a lifelong supply of the newest notebooks? Think about it!) is nothing but a hypocrite, who obviously cares nothing about nothing, very unlike the 90% of musicians, who never talk about anything but their music.
Morrissey is such a hypocrite because he is committed to animal rights and not to poverty. I bet he only wants to sell records. (In fact I already heard about his clever marketing ruses. He is not touring Canada in order to get publicity for himself. Not bad, eh? Most artist do the far more strenuous opposite.)
Bono Vox is such a hypocrite because he only cares about poverty and doesn't care about the holy war against Apple! He probably just wants to sell records.
Just shut up!
Bono might be an idiot or not, I don't know much about him, but calling his decades long passionately cultivated soapbox a marketing trick, makes you look far more stupid than he ever could be.
Radio hosts, the single most retarded group of people on this planet? Something else to think about.
To be fair, I think Bono once did something to this radio station, since they bash him every chance they get. Or it's just what the cool kids do nowadays.
