.... July 2009???

Argh, WB hates me, whatever have I done to them? First they deprive me of TDK long enough that I go from being super hyped to feeling that it's a chore to watch that lame old movie (some time after the fucking 22nd of August) that I probably have to do to because of Heath Ledger (I need to form an opinion on that performance after all! Plus I've always had I quite the crush)  If it wasn't for him, I'd seriously be over Batman.

AND NOW? They show Half-Blood Prince a fucking year later??? They give out the world wide release dates on one day, only to push them back ... 8 months the next? I'm ready to be through with goddamned Hollywood. A little entertainment, is that too much to ask? Is this some kind of prank? Or was I right all along when I feared there is so little promotion because they are desperately trying to finish up the movie? I thought I was being ridiculous, but it's them.

Worst of all, I watched Wanted. Not at the cinema, thank god, but for free was still way too expensive. Someone should have assassinated that director way before he lay his hands on the sensefree Night Watch/Day Watch series, not to mention him moving on to the west to do much worse with an fascinatingly even less likable protagonist. (The loom of fate must have foreseen that!) There must have been some good acting going on at least, because it had James McAvoy's adorable face and I still want to kill it with fire... (Anyway, this was really not helping my wish to seek out comic adaptations ... ever again in life, either.)

Plus, seriously, Juno was not that great. As far as I remember Little Miss Sunshine was better, but all in all I'm tired of this obvious cutesy button pushing, while trying to be oh-so-quirky.

Cinema is dead to me, I go back to watching the first season of Dexter! TV, I say, is the surprising innovative, but professional high quality entertainment of the future! Although to be fair, Dexter might be the best piece of TV I've seen so far. (Now that is an anti-hero after my taste, and not only because he is surprisingly lovable, he is original and interesting, too.) Also, it is made after books, though they are allegedly not up to the shows standard. (And not only because Dex is less lovable. ;))

Ahem, I'm feeling better now

dexter, rant, tv, movies
