... well, at least in Belfort and Monbéliard! :p
I got the magazine with the article about myself... it feels kind of weird and cool at the same time, hehehe! My scanner is doing a shitty job, so the tones and colors are a bit off.
Rough translation (remember that I'm fucked up on jetlag and traditional cooking).
Originally from Montreal in Quebec, NEMESIS also lived in Boston and she’s now living in Besançon. Since 2003 she imagines, creates with patience and talent (up to 30 hours of work) incredible excentric wigs, creating therefore not only a look, but a whole universe we can call CYBER GOTHIC, a style in between gothic and manga.
These wigs aren’t only treads, synthetic hair or small accessories glued together. Each creation has its own specific theme: nature, Halloween, spiders, flowers, etc…
Nemesis buys what she needs to make her wigs here and there; a small scorpion from Gifi, in the toys department, from art supply stores, from online stores, but also from her frequent trips to USA* for example.
"I always loved to play with synthetic hair, since the time I had Barbie dolls, Little Ponies, etc. and Halloween has always been my favourite day of the year. What I like is the costume aspect of it."
Nemesis didn’t study in that field, but in cinema, then literature and translation.
Her creations are particularly influenced by industrial music, synthpop and EBM, but also find inspiration through cinema, thanks to directors like Tim BURTON.
My work allows people to be transformed following a theme for one day, one night or even 1 hour, a bit like a chameleon.
* I usually travel to Canada, not USA, but that stuff all comes from China anyway. :p
