Here I am, being useless again. :| So much homework to do this weekend...guh.
I haven't updated in a while. I quit my job at Caribou, but I can return if I need to. I'm still working my office day job. And I'm going to college. I'm taking five courses this semester. I think I'll whittle it down to four after this term. Heh.
I saw Swans on Wednesday, and they were. fucking. awesome. It was like having an hour-and-a-half long orgasm. They didn't really play any of their melodic stuff, though. Just noise. Lots and lots of noise. It's okay though. I loved it. I was first in line, and thus right up against the stage. My ears only just stopped ringing today. I could have done without the image of Gira's nutsack burned into my retinas when he decided to moon the audience, though. Cannot unsee it.
I liked the opening artist, Baby Dee, too. The music reminded me of Current 93, and I love me some neo-folk. I looked her up later on, and sure enough, she used to be one of their instrumentalists. And she's toured with Marc Almond, too. They did a song called "Jesus Beat Up My Mom" which was pretty epic, and a lovely rendition of "Idumea".
