Plus a limited update.
I've been dealing with a great deal behind the scenes, and for once, very little of it's making it out in any form except the occasional poetic splash on another blog. Mostly because I'm still trying to work it out in my head.
Short form: to get over the loss of one man, I'm back growing steadily intimate with an ex. Not just any ex, though--the one that sent me into therapy for two years. Is this wise? Hell, no. Is this understandable? Not by any current method of observation I presently have.
And yet...we flirt, things occasionally get very intense, I get scared and pull back, and--he doesn't press. He doesn't try to manipulate me into becoming intimate again. He just holds me. He tells me he understands. He tells me that, yes, there will likely be frustration on his side, but if we ARE going to become a couple, he wants me to be absolutely sure it's the right decision for me.
He says that if we spend the next year doing this, two steps forward, five steps back, three steps forward again...and then I decide my life is not bettered with him in it? He'll be hurt, but he'll understand that too.
I'm a little worried with how rational he's sounding. Or...he could finally be growing up. I don't know either way.
Anyway, culls through the spam folder found these strange gems:

Subject: Hi from Rashida
So, I get that "Rashida" is a spammer, and--based on the "Abdul"--potentially a male spammer. But generally there's some effort to sell me something, right off the bat.
Hi, I am Rashy I would like to be your friend. I would have to know more about you and i am sending a picture of my self to you already.
Bwuh? Why? Out of the blue, even. And the picture was somewhat baffling, too. I'm not linking it here, but it seemed to be just this white girl in a purple scoop-neck top, smiling, with long light brown curly hair.
I would love to receive an email from you, telling me more about yourself and some photos of you as well.
Not going to happen, but so far this seems very innocent.
I am HONEST and PASSIONATE, NICE and FAITHFUL as well. Love hearing from you.
We can then pursue this further on through emails
So...is this is a subtle sex ad? International bride program? I don't get it.

Huh. The name might be related to
Colonel Abdullah Senussi, the current Director of Military Intelligence, but if so--why pick a name associated with a known war criminal?
Greetings,
I write to seek for your unconditional support,
Wau, are YOU out of luck. Even people I trust wholly rarely get my unconditional support.
I am a Libyan citizen and member of the inner caucus of the last regime in Libya.
Damn. Maybe they ARE meaning to refer to the war criminal. The hell?
I have to run out of my country to a near by West African country as the new regime almost killed us all. I want to TRANSFER my funds to you for safe keep & possibly invest in for my children before i die.
Ohhhh. I get it now. This is the Nigerian scam again with up to date information.
I don't know how long I can hang on because of the brutal trial I went through. PLEASE EMAIL ME NOW for more details,
( senabbas2@blumail.org )
And again--do people really fall for these things?
