glow sticks and protests

So the plinth first saw, when I got up this morning afternoon,a woman in a gag sitting down:

I didn't get a good angle on anything but that one sign, but she kept wavering between holding up signs saying protest-y things, and sitting, watching the world below the plinth.

Next came the lass with the yellow umbrella, throwing things:

Took me a while to figure out what, exactly, she's throwing.

They're glowsticks. In multiple colors. She's picking up a handful from the bag, cracking them, and tossing them into the crowd.

I had to take pics quick so there's more blur than I wanted. But from all I'm seeing, her goal is to give everyone who catches one a glowstick, get the entire crowd lit up...at least a little.

There are less fun goals. This one's pretty cool.

fun, plinth project, england, protest
