Ouch. On the other hand, yeah, I wouldn't buy a Swayze on his deathbed, either--that boy works until he falls down, usually. Still. Ouch. Pancreatic cancer is nothing to mess with, glad he's getting treatment.
Hee--lolcats meet gamer-geek humor. Fun stuph.

Yes, yes I am. :)

This also happens in life, not just games.

Applies in so very many games, too...
Bwahahahah....all from the
Kittens of Darkness site. Hee.
So, fashions. In all fairness? There were some lovely outfits from the McQueen show. I know my love is bad fashion, but...I have to post the really good ones.

Like this one. White tree print, overblown floral detail, but lovely assymetrical hem, and the self-dyed flounce is perfect for this style. It's lovely.

And this is just breathtaking--not only that creamy, frothy explosion of petticoats, but the delicate dark lacework peacocks...this may be one of the most gorgeous lace dresses I've ever seen.
Here's another view
from the side.

And this is so stylized. You'd think the draping wouldn't work, but it really does. Something of Edwardian, something of Grecian, and more streamlined than both--and check out the details
on the beadwork. Simply elegance, incarnate.

And this is truly regal, the Queen of all Lolita outfits, just posh from start to finish. From the neck corset to the ermine overcoat to the gold-embroidered flats. It's elegant, lovely, petticoated perfection.

Again, lovely on the gold-taupe gauze draping the champagne fabric--which actually does look like feathers--of the main, and an unusual enough hemline, plus the very intriguing hoopskirt this dress must have to sustain that shape...It takes risks, but sedate ones, and I can honestly see this and the Queen Loli outfit showing up at awards shows and theatrical performances.

But I wouldn't be me if I did an entire post on how good things are. This, for example, the "star" of the show. Here, Alexander McQueen demonstrates the finely honed art of gathering up sumptuous fabrics, elegant details, perfect colors...and pushing them all into a van and pushing the van off the cliff.
I mean, really. This is wrinkled, this is weird, and most of all--it's huge. Pseudo-Mongolian
beaded
headgear, what amounts to a nightgown underneath, and the whole thing just looks--well, undeniably luxe, yes, but--
dumpy, too.
*shakes her head*
Wish I could say it works, but...it just doesn't. Too huge, too strange, too unflattering. Frankly.

And yeah, that's it for now. More later.
