when you're gone, would you have the guts to say...

Trying to rebuild my media library. Little nervous about this, because every time I start the comp, this big warning that my hard drive is in a state of imminent failure flashes on the screen.

Otherwise, I've been messing about with transparent textures, we'll see how that's going. So far? That seems to be the one thing Gimp is really stellar at--one button, one setting, color to alpha--instant transparency!

Otherwise? Gimp still sucks. Agh.

In other news, this article--yet more RL press--doesn't specifically mention me by name:

"I was asked to help someone on a corporate job who desperately needed some complete avatars,"
she recalls. "I was introduced to a rep of a film promotion agency and have helped them with projects in Second Life for 300, Die Hard 4.0 and Transformers."

...but I was the rep.

Hee hee hee.

'nother thing: Jacqui Farley? Childrens' book author in the UK. Really. Books like this. :)

failure, second life, real life, books, technology
