Yeah, like
that worked...
We're watching Spiderman II, while
zebragrrl's helping me with laundry. She's also downloading many, many Gameboy games from a German site. I don't get the whole Gameboy thing--I was completely gone on the Zelda/Link series, but never cared about anything else--so I don't get the attraction of downloading the Gameboy emulator so you can play various versions of Gameboy games...but for anyone who wants to know, the site's
here.
Killer Rat Cake!
Thorax Cake!
Zombie Cake--perhaps the only one we can make without a cake airbrush set-up!
Damn.
themoonlady, save these for Halloween! They're AMAZING!!!
Note for anyone who a) likes Christian Slater, and b) likes bad movies--
Kuffs. 1992 Christian Slater vehicle that just barely stops short of being a live-action cartoon. There's shots that
break the proscenium (included a handy link for anyone what don't know the term) from the first minute of the film, there's a cursing segment deliberately overdubbed with car horns and machine beeps, there's an amazingly funny moment where The Other Cop realizes his legs don't work in a really rubber-centered way...and the rest of the film dips and sways between being a comedy and being a hard-hitting drama.
Oh, and let's not forget the bad guy wears shirts that make people wearing hardcore 80's gear wince in fear.
It's not a perfect movie. Much of it had me rolling my eyes and turning away. But bits of it are hysterical. And for that, it's worth renting...at least once.
Fashions. If you can call them that. Galliano 'creations', how about that?

Hi, I just crawled out of the oven, because I had to take a nap, and it seemed the best place, and my lovely yellow silk spring gown is all brown and semi-charred. You don't think the folks at the Burn Ward Charity Ball will mind, do you?

Throw everything together for an all-in-one look--mismatched pieces, corsets, leather, head veiling, brown skirts made from dining room curtains, and blood. Sure, it'll all go together, just like bananas and fish sauce. Suuuure.

Towards the end of the show, Galliano, I can only surmise, saw weddings in his future. Or his evil tattered bloodsoaked spring line's future.
This one, in particular, strikes me as the perfect dress for an antigravity wedding. Because the dress is already partially gravity-defying.

Hi there--I'm really looking for a white dress, potentially for some sort of wedding or alternative bondage event, where I'm wearing just an amazing amount of fabric that will be so heavy it will drag my shoulders down and give me a really pained look. I want a hoop skirt, but I'd really love if it were partially revealed with a section of the skirt missing. Ideally, I'd like a bodice cut to downplay every single chest-related charm I might have. Can you help?
Yes. We can help.

And now, several detail shots. This one features the alarming makeup technique for the models. Up close, I think it's even scarier than far away.

This makeup, while similar to Michelle's, is radically different in one detail--the rimming of ice-white directly around the eyes.
Is that a good thing, or a bad thing?
