wake me up when september ends

So I'm on this long slow pull-back from the net. It won't last; it never does; but I can't balance getting zero sleep and nightmares and a social life, what shreds there are of one...and net. Therefore. If you haven't heard from me for a bit on email 'n such...that's why.

Speaking of the social life...party for the 17th at the old same place is shaping up fine. We're more or less leaving everything in the hands of the cousin and La Roommate, contributing cleaning here and there. Tomorrow--since the driver didn't come today--I have to go out shopping, make spelt and edamame salad when I get home, and do laundry that I couldn't get to today while the denim couch was washed. And clean up downstairs.

Kind of a full day.

Nobody Ever Admits They're a BNF. Heh. I do. But it means nothing, absolutely nothing, because a), it's a really tiny fandom, and b), I haven't produced the solid chock of eighty+plus stories that got me the BNF status since.

And folks in my teensy fandom? Are not this mean when I do write things. Which is probably why I'm still in that fandom, even writing as little as I do. :)

I'm never buying another Garth Brooks album.

Also remember I'm still taking donations-for-comments here.

More fashions. Couple of shots, right off the bat, from the Tara Subkoff Imitation of Christ show in New York. The first one isn't mockable, but bear with me. All will become clear.

This particular outfit: not bad. Simple white-ruffled blouse, black skirt. Tasteful. The posture's kind of odd, though, and that's what I want to direct your attention towards. Why are her shoulders held back like that?

Kicky little sundress outfit, weird shoes, but again, that stiff, shoulders-snapped-back posture. What is up with that?

This is why: Tara Subkoff is showing off her clothes--and her models--this time out by HAVING THEM WEAR HANDCUFFS.

WTF?? What is this, hostage wear??

Yeah, you thought the grave on the sidewalk was bad...Tara's turned it into high fashion already...Whoa.

I can't decide if that's cool or creepy. Possibly it's both.

Button-down swimsuit. No. Just NO.

Maybe it's just me, but...from a distance, I think this suit could easily look like the model's been embroidered, not the swimsuit. Yaaaagh.
