[ 365 ] Constant surprises... coming my way

'Twas short, but sweet.

I caught this at the Nuart Theatre with my co-worker. I knew it was good, but didn't expect it to be this good. On the surface it sounds like just a straight-up documentary on b-boying, but really, it goes even deeper than that, touching on stories of dancers across the globe - how they got into the dance, why they do it, their hopes and their dreams. And finally, to top it off there were mind-blowing dance battles. I sat in the theater with my jaw hanging the entire time.

One of my favorite producers of all-time, Matthew Herbert, asked for 100 volunteers via Facebook to contribute vocal samples for his new album in the works. The deadline was the end of this month, and I'd been putting off my submission for about 2 months now. I finally got around to it today - can't wait to hear what he does with it.

After several postponements my co-workers and I at last got to do our rollerskating excursion. I haven't gone skating in years; it was really nice to bust out the rollerblades in my closet and strap them back on.

Inspired by the Planet B-Boy movie, I tried to break out with the moves I learned from this class I took 3 years ago. It took a while to get the move right, but here it is, the baby freeze (if I had taken this photo properly, the full pose would've looked like this).

Shopping spree at The Grove: the GAP jeans that I've had for over 5 years have finally started to rip, so I really needed to get new ones. Out of all the jeans I've worn in my lifetime, I've found that the GAP pairs fit really well for me.

The "Crazy" is back in town with a capital C!
