There is nothing wrong. At all. It's amazing. I worked on Friday, and because Wendy's out of town, I was essentially a mother. Got the babies up, dressed them, gave them breakfast, took them to daycare. Picked them up, played made them dinner, gave baths, and put them down for the night. It was amazing. I loved every second I was with those kids, even when I had to clean a spot in Ally's carpet, because Cameron thought it would be funny to run into her room, naked (they had just gotten out of the bath), stand right in the doorway, and pee on the floor. Even *that* didn't bother me. You know you have an overactive maternal instinct when...
And last night...yeah, yesterday as a whole was amazing. Muppet Movie Marathon. Muppet Show, original Muppet Movie, Jim Henson's Storyteller, Treasure Island (I missed that one because I was elsewhere, more on that in a second), Christmas Carol, Muppets Take Manhattan, and Mirrormask. It was MADNESS. I think the high point of all that was watching Gilda Radner sing "Modern Major General" with a giant carrot. If there is something better in life than watching that, while hanging out with cool people and eating DanWill's french onion dip, I don't want to know about it.
Later in the evening, DanWill had to go pay a visit to his little brother, and I needed an excuse to get away from a guy at the party who kept coming on to me....sooooo, we were off to Alta Dena. Little did I know that we were tromping off to Casey's housewarming party. I got to see most of the Boggards, which was fantastical. Got hugs from Tappy, Wes, Jon and the lovely Mary (sidenote--Mar, DanWill gave me all kinds of shit on the way home for not taking your shirt. My logic was that you'd be the only one shirtless, and that's not as much fun as *both* of us being shirtless. So, next time, we'll just hand the clothes to Dan and Jon. Sound good?). Hung out with Stork for a bit, and he made fun of me because I really am amazed that half of the guys actually know my name and talk to me. Like Casey. Had noooo idea that he knew who I was, or how old I am. That was a very pleasant surprise indeed. And I guess he came out looking for me when DanWill told him that I felt a little weird about being at the party in the first place, because I hadn't been invited and I didn't want to impose. One of these days, one of the guys is going to tell me once again that I'm not getting in anyone's way, and I'll actually listen. Let's see..oh, Ed was there, and I met Steve, one of the guys on the forum, and I've been invited to join the Country Garden Dancers for Southern. Wheee!!
In short...best day ever. ^^
