i'm baaaack :)
so, as you know i am in the new house! i moved in wednesday night. and i was so tired last week with all the cleaning and unpacking...neither of which is completely no where near done. we need to buy a mop and bucket to clean the floors in the kitchen and bathrooms. we need to buy a vacuum for the carpet. and then there are the boxes and boxes of crap (my dad made us take our crusty stuffed animals from elementary school out of his basement) in the garage.
cable guy showed up today and after much drama (they still have to come back to install her cable box) we now have basic cable and internet. the only problem is that i'm using an old cable modem from them, and they normally deactivate them. but for some reason my router isn't working on her computer. so i'm going to try to buy another brand and see if that will work. but i love cable! on my dad's DSL-Lite, it would take me approximately 2hrs to download a 94mb file that i just downloaded in like 5mins. hehehe :D
i also now get up at 4:45am. that was the one upside to living with my dad. the train station was literally 5mins from the house so i could technically oversleep by 30mins and still be okay. plus, since it was right by the train station, all the buses drove down the street. if i miss my bus now it's a guarantee i'll be late for work.
OMG! 7mins for a 346mb file! cable service rocks!
in more exciting news, that job promotion i've been talking about (for a TE2) was finally posted on friday. i have until tuesday to submit my application. that extra money will be helpful about now. i need a new mattress, new box-spring, a bed frame, a computer desk (it's currently on an end table, pulled all the way up to my bed because i have no chair), a tv stand (the tv is on the floor right now), and a dresser (my dad wouldn't let me take the one i was using at his place).
well, that's my update. now off to read my flist.
