Summer in review

Aug 25, 2006 08:44

It's really hard to believe that my things are packed up, again, and I'm getting ready to move, for the final time, into the apartment.  The apartment that has been re-cored for me; toilets had to be fixed, and multiple other fix-it items that were necessary prior to moving in.  It's been kinda annoying for me that they couldn't have been like a proper landlord and fixed those things at the beginning of the summer.  I don't understand how they think someone is supposed to live in an apartment without a key to their own room.  Explain that one, Otterbein.  (And being an RA last year doesn't help this situation anymore, it just makes me dislike an old boss, moreso than what I did throughout last year.)

Okay so, summer in review , I guess...-pre band camp...

Materialistically; It looks / has been a great summer.
Beyond that, I'd still say its been a great summer.  I've gotten to see family; catch up with lots of friends, old and new.  Have those talks in driveways with people until 1 am, when we'd been back since, 12:00 am.  Find that things are going to work out.  Some things never change; you can think that they have, but...

And the only way to find out if you're going to make it, is to jump in  and do it.
A year ago, I never would've put myself as a single person, going into junior year.
But here I am.
And you gotta bend when the wind blows.
Roll with the punches
and listen
to your heart.
